a building; thence by the southern, eastern, and northern sides of
that building to a fence; thence by lines in a northerly direction
generally by that fence, having bearings and distances as follows :
307° 11'-47.4; 18° 27'-28.8 ; 9° 33'-107.4 ; 97° 37'-47.5 to
the point of commencement. As the said areas firstly and secondly
hereinbefore described are more particularly delineated on a plan
marked "C," deposited at Navy Headquarters, Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.
(4) Turakirae Head.--All that area in Wellington Land District,
Hutt County, situated in Block IX, Pencarrow Survey District, being
parts of Subdivisions B 3 and B 4, Orongorongo Block, and being the
whole of the land described in the First Schedule to a Proclamation
dated the 17th October, 1942, and published in the Gazette (No. 93)
of 22nd October, 1942, at page 2498. As same is more particularly
delineated on a plan marked "D," deposited at Navy Headquarters,
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
(5) Navy Office, Picton.--All that area of land containing
approximately 2 acres 3 roods 10 perches, being part of 1171 and
1170 in the Picton area, and the adjoining sea area enclosing the
proposed jetty as shown on a plan marked N.A. 017/2/1 "E," deposited in the office of the Naval Secretary, Wellington, and thereon
enclosed by a red line.
DUNEDIN DISTRICT.
(6) North Spit at the Entrance to Otago Harbour.--All that area
in the Otago Land District, consisting partly of land and partly of
water, containing by admeasurement 145 acres, situated at the
North Spit at the entrance to Otago Harbour, and more particularly
described as follows : Commencing at a point bearing 42° 30' and
distant 2,700 ft. from Trig. VII, North Harbour, and Blueskin
District; thence by a line bearing 117° 30' for a distance of 2,500 ft. ;
thence by a line bearing 163° 30' for a distance of 975 ft.; thence by
by a line bearing 111° 00' for a distance of 700 ft.; thence by a line
bearing 21° 00', which for part of its length of 400 ft. traverses the
seaward edge of the Spit Jetty; thence by a line bearing 358° 30'
for a distance of 1,375 ft. ; thence by a line bearing 332° 00' for a
distance of 2,975 ft. to the mole structure at a point 3,100 ft. from the
seaward end; thence by a line bearing 222° 24' 30" for a distance of
2,756 ft. back to the starting point, be the bearings and distances a
little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a
plan marked "F," deposited at Navy Headquarters, Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940.
P URSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare
that the provisions of clause (l) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers
Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of motor-omnibuses,
shall not apply to V. Stuckey, of Raetihi.

Regulations 1940.
P URSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare
that the provisions of clause (l) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers
Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-
motors, shall not apply to Noel Victor George Kiddie, of Waitara.

Defining Land in North Auckland Land District to which Water is supplied pursuant to Section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939.
In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection (5) of section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939, I, James Gillispie Barclay, for the Minister of Lands, hereby give notice that the land defined in the Schedule hereto is land to which water is supplied under the said section.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Hokianga County, situated in Blocks III, VI, and VII, Mangamuka Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1,850 acres l rood and 20.1 perches, more or less, being Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block VI; Sections 20, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, and part Section 9, Block VII; Sections 5, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, Block III, Mangamuka Survey District; part Lots l and 2, D.P. 11158, being part of Wharikiriki Block; Lots 2, 14, 18, 20, part Lots 1, 5, 6, 12, and 19, D.P. 409; Lot 1, D.P. 30322; the lands shown on D.P's 22591 and 12865, being parts of Orira Block and part Kahikatoa No. 2A Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/28A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Christchurch East.
In compliance with the provisions of section 103 of the Electoral Act, 1927, I, William Edward Barnard, Speaker of the House of Representatives of New Zealand, hereby notify that Hubert Thomas Armstrong, a member of the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Christchurch East, died on the 8th day of November, 1942, during a recess of the House by adjournment, and that the said seat in the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District is vacant by reason of such death.

Building Construction Control Notice No. 15.
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939 and the Building Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby require and direct as follows:
- This notice may be cited as the Building Construction Control Notice No. 15.
- This notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
- After the coming into force of this notice no owner, within the meaning of the Building Emergency Regulations 1939, of any of the building materials described in the Schedule hereto shall sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession or control of those materials or any part thereof to any other person unless--
(a) The owner first receives an application duly completed by that other person on a form approved by the Building Controller and provided for the purpose by the owner;
(b) The application is submitted to and approved by the Building Controller or some person authorized by the Building Controller in that behalf; and
(c) The owner forwards every such application to the Building Controller, P.O. Box 3005, Wellington, or as he directs, at such times as he directs.
SCHEDULE.
- COPPER tube of any type or size capable of being used or dealt with in or for the purposes of any constructional work.
- Copper sheets, shapes, and circles capable of being used or dealt with in or for the purposes of any constructional work.
- Hot-water cylinders.
- Washing-coppers.
