Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces.

National Service Department,
Wellington, 15th October, 1942.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of
the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National
Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 15th October,
1942, issued to—

Stanley Philip Theo Poulson, Seaman, 62 Greys Avenue,
Auckland, Registration No. 634084, and

Archie Ronald Maulder, Labourer, care of Mrs. R. Donghi,
Rose Street, Waipawa, Registration No. 634083,

notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such
persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists
belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has
been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for
enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation
43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

The Clothing Rationing Coupon Notice 1942, No. 4.

PURSUANT to the Rationing Emergency Regulations 1942, I,
James Ewing Thomas, Rationing Controller, hereby give
notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Clothing Rationing Coupon
    Notice 1942, No. 4.

  2. The Clothing Rationing Coupon Notice 1942* is hereby
    amended by inserting in the schedule of coupon free goods, as an
    addition to the item "Furnishing fabrics as defined", the following :—

"(8) Baize, Cabinet Cloth ; (9) Burlap, Titian Canvas ; (10)
Chintz, glazed ; (11) Filet Net, Madras Muslin, Marquisette, Curtain
Ninon ; (12) Furnishing Damask, Brocaded Cretonne ; (13)
Poplin, Slub Repp ; (14) Sateen, figured and plain ; (15) Satin,
heavy furnishing, plain and printed ; (16) Tapestry Furnishing
Fabrics."

The Plating Control Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939, I,
George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct
and give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Plating Control Notice 1942.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the day next following
    the date of the publication hereof in the Gazette.

  3. Except with the prior consent in writing of the Factory
    Controller, no occupier of a factory or owner of factory materials
    shall use tin or tin salts for any plating purpose whatsoever.

  4. Except with the prior consent in writing of the Factory
    Controller, no occupier of a factory or owner of factory materials
    shall use chromic acid or chromic salts for any plating purpose
    whatsoever otherwise than in pursuance of a contract with or an
    order issued by or with the approval of the Munitions Controller
    or an officer of the Royal New Zealand Air Force acting in the course
    of his duty as such officer.

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order
1941, Variation No. 17.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 17.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of
    the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order
    1941 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Order").

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—

The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to workers
coming within the scope of the Burnside Cement Workers' award,
dated the 13th day of August, 1941, and recorded in 41 Book of
Awards 923.

  1. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date
    hereof.

    Munitions Controller, the Controller of Radio Production, or an
    officer of the Royal New Zealand Air Force acting in the course of
    his duty as such officer.
