Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces.
National Service Department,
Wellington, 8th October, 1942.
IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have on the 8th October, 1942, issued to—
Walter James Walker, Cook, 32 Pompallier Terrace, Auckland, Registration No. 633283, and
Matthew Ellis, Service-station Proprietor, 17 Cam Street, Island Bay, Wellington, Registration No. 633735,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Wairau Development Scheme.

ALL that parcel of land, situated in the South Island Native Land Court District and in the Marlborough Land District, containing 4 acres 2 roods, more or less, being the accreted land fronting Section 115, District of Waiotahi Valley.

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 13th day of January, 1932, and published in Gazette No. 6 of the 21st day of the same month at pages 115 and 116, whereby the provisions of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931 (now Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936) were applied to (inter alia) the said land described in the Schedule hereto, and such land is hereby excluded from the Te Kaha Development Scheme.
