The Women's Footwear Design Control Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939,* I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Women's Footwear Design Control Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October, 1942.
  3. No person shall manufacture women's footwear in contravention of the provisions of the New Zealand Emergency Standard Specification entitled "Simplified Practice for the Manufacture of Women's Footwear," issued by the New Zealand Standards Institute under the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, bearing date September, 1942, and numbered N.Z.S.S. E. 73 (SP)†.
  4. (1) Every manufacturer of women's footwear shall within seven days after the 1st day of October in each year furnish in writing to the Secretary of the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, Lambton Quay, Wellington, the numbers, names, or other designations of the designs of women's footwear that he was producing on that date.
    (2) No person shall in any period of twelve months commencing on the 1st day of October commence to produce any design of women's footwear that he was not manufacturing on the first day of that period unless he has first furnished in writing to the Secretary, New Zealand Standards Institute, aforesaid, the number, name, or other designation of the design.
  5. Nothing in this notice shall be deemed to affect the provisions of the Footwear Control Notice 1942‡.

Building Construction Control Notice No. 13.

PURSUANT to the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Building Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby direct as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Building Construction Control Notice No. 13.
  2. In any case where an application is made to any Electrical Supply Authority, pursuant to paragraph (a) of clause (1) of Regulation 15-01 of the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935,* for a permit to commence or undertake any electrical-wiring work, the Supply Authority shall not issue a permit therefor except with the precedent consent of the Building Controller or in accordance with his directions.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to noon on Monday, 26th October, 1942.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building, Wellington, on Wednesday, 28th October, 1942, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
