Licensing the Vincent County Council to occupy Sites for Wharves in Lake Hawea.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of September, 1942.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit the Vincent County Council (hereinafter called "the Council," which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy parts of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Hunter Valley and Meade's in Lake Hawea as sites for wharves, as shown on approved plans marked M.D. 8158, 8160; 8159 and 8160 respectively, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.

This license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shali, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the date hereof.

The annual sum payable by the Council shall be ls. payable on demand.

The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharves shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for a site for public buildings of the General Government over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the City of Auckland, situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 0·13 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 1, Section 3, City of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/183A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington. (North Auckland plan S.O. 29235.)

Appointing a Member of the Greymouth Harbour Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Frederick Williams to be a member of the Greymouth Harbour Board in place of Albert Henry McKane, deceased, to hold office until the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of September, 1942.

Declaring Crown Lands in the Otago Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as "the said lands") are Crown lands not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but are adjacent to certain land acquired under the said Act, and known as the Otekaike Settlement and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Land Settlement Board, and after considering the report of the Otago District Land Board, do hereby declare the said lands to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that they shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Otekaike Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.
