A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.


SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County, containing approximately 5,225 acres, being Section 27, Block XVII, Sections 33, 34, 35, 36, 43, 48, and 49, part Sections 29, 42, and 47, Block XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred, part Moa Creek Mining Reserve, Block XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred, part Port’s Water-race Reserve, Blocks XVII and XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred, and Block X, Longwood Survey District, and Crown land situated in Blocks XVII and XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred, and Blocks VII, IX, X, and XII, Longwood Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 43, Block XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred; thence towards the north-east by Section 39, Block XIX aforesaid; thence generally towards the south-east by Section 44, Block XIX aforesaid, Trail Road, Sections 50 and 32, Block XIX aforesaid, and by Section 16, Block XVII, Jacob’s River Hundred; towards the south by Section 1, Block XVII aforesaid, and Section 28R, Block XIX aforesaid, the crossing of a public road and by a public road; towards the east by Centre Road to the southern boundary of Section 27, Block XVII aforesaid; towards the south by Section 25, Block XVII aforesaid; towards the south-east and south by the northern side of Port’s Water-race; towards the south-east by a right line across Port’s Water-race Reserve and Section 41, Block VII, Longwood Survey District; towards the south-west by a public road, Section 43, Block VII aforesaid, and Section 18, Block XII, Longwood Survey District; towards the west by a public road; towards the north-west by Section 15, Block XII aforesaid; generally towards the east, north, and north-west by permanent State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 253); towards the north, west, and south by provisional State forest (Gazette, 1924, page 2595); towards the south and west by permanent State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 253); towards the north by permanent State forest (Gazette, 1923, page 6); generally towards the north and north-west by permanent State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 253); towards the north by Trail Road and towards the north-west by the last-mentioned State forest to the point of commencement: save and excepting all intersecting public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 210/18, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel County, containing by admeasurement 945 acres 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Section 20, Block XII, Coromandel Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 18/8, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 17188.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1942.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1942.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.
