THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

  1. The Medical Supplies Notice 1942, No. 3,* and the Medical
    Supplies Notice 1942, No. 4t, are respectively amended by deleting
    the words "2. Quinine and its salts" contained in the respective
    Schedules to the said notices.

  2. Nothing in the last preceding paragraph hereof shall affect
    the liability of any person for any offence in relation to the notices
    therein mentioned committed before this notice comes into force.

  3. So long as this notice remains in force no person shall use
    quinine for any other purpose than as an anti-malarial agent.

  4. No person shall deal with quinine in any way which militates
    or is calculated or likely to militate against its use as an anti-malarial
    agent.

  5. No person shall sell, transfer, part with the possession of, or
    otherwise dispose of quinine, or agree to dispose in any manner of
    quinine if he has reasonable ground to believe that it will be used
    otherwise than as an anti-malarial agent.

  6. No person shall purchase, receive, or otherwise acquire or
    agree in any manner to acquire quinine except for use as an anti-
    malarial agent.

  7. No person shall sell or agree to sell, or otherwise dispose or
    agree to dispose of, quinine by wholesale to any person except to
    another wholesaler or a registered medical practitioner or a registered
    pharmaceutical chemist.

  8. No person shall sell or agree to sell, or otherwise dispose or
    agree to dispose of, quinine by retail except pursuant to a prescription
    signed by a registered medical practitioner.

  9. No medical practitioner shall prescribe quinine except for
    the treatment of malaria.

  10. This Order shall not apply to any preparation containing
    quinine in which on the day of the coming into force of this notice
    quinine has already been combined or compounded with other
    medicinal agents.

The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.--Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the
Armed Forces, to report.

I,

ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose of the
above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations, that the men
whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up in accordance with the said
regulations for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and places shown in the said Schedule.
