BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF ROADS AND TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the lands described in the First Schedule hereto for the purposes of roads and to close the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto: And notice is hereby further given that the plans of the lands so proposed to be taken and of the portions of road proposed to be closed are deposited at the office of the Bay of Islands County Council at Kawakawa and are there open for inspection (without fee) during office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands or the closing of the said portions of road should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands or to the closing of the said portions of road, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Bay of Islands County Council at Kawakawa.

IN LIQUIDATION.

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that on the 15th day of January, 1942, the members of the above-named company passed the following special resolution:--

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. WILLIAM ALBERT MITSON, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, and Mr. HENRY EMMET SHIEL, of Dunedin, Salesman, be and are hereby appointed joint liquidators of the company."

GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

AT a meeting of the above Council held on the 3rd day of November, 1941, the following resolution was passed:--

"In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Gore Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:--

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of Β£3,000, authorized to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting public baths, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Gore; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until such loan is fully paid off."
