Captain (temp.) S. Menzies, 1st Field Regiment, is granted
the temporary rank of Major. Dated 15th December, 1941.
Lieutenant (temp.) I. C. Young, 12th Field Regiment,
is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 29th
December, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. Martin ceases to be posted to
the 3rd Field Regiment, and is posted to the 82nd Heavy
Battery, 11th Heavy Regiment, with seniority from 28th
October, 1941. Dated 28th October, 1941.

posted to the 31st Field Company, with seniority from 25th
May, 1941, and is appointed to command the Company.

Lieutenant M. K. Draffin, M.C., 4th (Works) Company, is
posted to the Retired List. Dated 20th December, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. H. Thompson, from the North
Auckland Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), with
seniority from 1st January, 1942, and is posted to the 31st

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Captain (temp. Major) T. H. Pettit, M.B., Ch.B., command-
ing 9th Field Ambulance, relinquishes the temporary rank of
Major, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-
Colonel while so employed. Dated 2nd January, 1942.

Captain (temp. Major) D. M. Mitchell, M.B., Ch.B., ceases
to be posted to the 2nd Field Ambulance, and is appointed to
command the 10th Field Ambulance. Dated 1st March, 1941.

Captain (temp. Major) D. M. Mitchell, M.B., Ch.B., com-
manding 10th Field Ambulance, relinquishes the temporary
rank of Major, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-
Colonel while so employed. Dated 14th December, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. P. Walker, M.R.C.S. (Eng.),
L.R.C.P. (Lond)., relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain,
is granted the temporary rank of Major, and remains seconded
to the Royal N.Z. Air Force. Dated 8th January, 1942.

Charles Albert Porter to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and
is posted to the 1st Motor Ambulance Convoy (Medical
Wing). Dated 6th January, 1942.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Rev. J. Sands, Chaplain, 4th Class (Congregational),
is transferred from Area 3 to Area 5. Dated 2nd January,
1942.

OFFICERS STRUCK OFF THE STRENGTH OF THE 2ND NEW
ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

Captain R. T. St. Lawrence is struck off the strength of the
2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, dated 8th January,
1942, is reposted to the N.Z. Temporary Staff with the
rank of Captain (temp.), and is appointed Company Com-
mander, No. 1 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp,
Trentham, dated 9th January, 1942.

Sister E. M. Crawford is struck off the strength of the
2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and resigns her
appointment. Dated 15th January, 1942.
