Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.


SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY.

ALL those areas in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, containing approximately 10,085 acres, and described as follows :—

All that area containing 5,730 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XII and XVI, Gordon Survey District, and Blocks V, IX, and XIII, Rintoul Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west, east, and north-east generally by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); towards the south generally by Section 7, Square 34, Block XIII, Rintoul Survey District, and Block XVI, Gordon Survey District; and towards the south-west by Section 4, Square 34, Block XVI, Gordon Survey District, and the Motueka River.

Also all that area containing 270 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks VII and XI, Gordon Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Sections 63 and 8, Block VII aforesaid, and towards the east, north, south, south-west, and north-west by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2).

Also all that area containing 630 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks VII and XI, Gordon Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Section 3, Block VII aforesaid; towards the north-east and north-west by Section 60, Block VII aforesaid; again towards the north-west, north-east, and east by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); towards the north-west and south-west by State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 209); towards the north-east, west, and south by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); and towards the west by a public road.

Also all that area containing 2,570 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks X, XI, XIV, and XV, Gordon Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east and north-west by State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 209); towards the north-east, west, and south-west by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); again towards the north-west by State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 209); towards the east and south generally by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); towards the north-west by Section 16, Block XIV aforesaid; towards the north, west, and south-west by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); again towards the north-west by Section 16, Block XIV aforesaid; towards the west by part Section 3, Block X aforesaid; towards the north-east, north, west, and south-west by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); and towards the north-west by Section 9, Block X aforesaid.

Also all that area containing 65 acres, more or less, situated in Block XIV, Gordon Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Section 16, Block XIV aforesaid; and towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2).

Also all that area containing 100 acres, more or less, situated in Block XIV, Gordon Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Section 16, Block XIV aforesaid; towards the north-east by State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 2); and towards the south-west by the Motueka River.

Also all that area containing 720 acres, more or less, and being Section 16, Block VI, Motupiko Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 108/48, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of June, 1942.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, Clifton County, containing by admeasurement 8,118 acres, more or less, being Section 36, Block I, Section 1, Block II, Section 28, Block IV, and Section 4, Block V, Mimi Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 51/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of June, 1942.
