Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, amended.
WHEREAS by a notice (hereinafter referred to as “the said notice”) published in the Gazette on the 5th day of March, 1942, at page 634, the Minister of Supply and Munitions, pursuant to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, approved the Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942 (hereinafter referred to as “the scheme”):
And whereas it is desired to amend the scheme by a readjustment of the authority for certain of the deliveries of milk authorized by the scheme:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Supply and Munitions, pursuant to the said Regulation 3, doth hereby amend the table (contained in clause 3 of the Schedule to the said notice), describing the persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled, by revoking therein (for zone numbered 73) the words “J. Moss, Rockyside Road, Dunedin,” and substituting therefor the words “C. H. Buckland, Rockyside Road, Dunedin.”

Certificate under the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940.
I CERTIFY that the licensed premises known as Hotel Cecil, situated at Lambton Quay, Wellington, are being used for war purposes by the Government of New Zealand, and that the publican’s license in force in respect of such premises is suspended as from the 19th day of June, 1942.

The Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, and its Amendments.—Fixing the Closing-hours of Butchers’ Shops within the Borough of Pukekohe.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the butchers’ shops within the Borough of Pukekohe has been forwarded to me desiring that all such shops within the said borough be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Subject to closing not later than the prescribed hour on the day observed as the statutory closing-day, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 5 p.m.:
And whereas I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, I do hereby direct that on and after the 13th day of July, 1942, all the butchers’ shops within the Borough of Pukekohe shall be closed accordingly.
The notice fixing the closing-hours of shops in the Town District of Pukekohe, gazetted on the 24th April, 1908, shall be and is hereby cancelled, in so far as it relates to the shops affected by this notice, as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

The Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its Amendments.—Notice declaring the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research to be a Department in which Apprentices may be taken.
NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby declare that the arts and trades used and exercised in the Department mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be arts and trades within the meaning of Part II of the said Act, and that the officer named in the said Schedule shall be deemed to be the master for the purposes of the said Part II of the said Act.
