THE OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

LAKE WAKATIPU ELECTRIC-POWER LOAN, 1940.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £18,000, authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of providing supply of electric-power for and the reticulation of the Lake Wakatipu Special-rating Area of the Otago Central Electric-power District, the said Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and five-eighteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Lake Wakatipu Special-rating Area of the Otago Central Electric-power District comprising the Borough of Arrowtown and part of the County of Lake, being the area described in a Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st day of February, 1934, at page 114 thereof, after excluding therefrom the area comprising the Borough of Queenstown; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 10th day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
