Result of Election of a Member of the Waipukurau Fire Board by Fire-insurance Companies.

THE following result of the election of a member of the Waipukurau Fire Board has been reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and is notified in accordance with the rules under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926:—

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Whangarei, Dargaville, and Hikurangi Fire Boards.

Wellington, 8th June, 1942.
PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth hereby appoint Friday, the 26th day of June, 1942, to be the date for holding an election of one member of each of the Whangarei, Dargaville, and Hikurangi Fire Boards by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Mr. R. H. Newbold from each of the said Boards.

Development Works to be undertaken by the Crown on Land in Kauri-gum District.
IT is hereby notified, pursuant to section 11 of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, as amended by section 16 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1937, that development works have been or are to be undertaken by the Crown on the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto, being land within a kauri-gum district.
Dated this 9th day of June, 1942.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Mangonui County, containing approximately 1,322 acres 3 roods and 3 perches, more or less, being Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 40 of Block XV, Hohoura East Survey District, and Sections 9, 10, and 11, Block III, Opoe Survey District, together with that area of Crown land situated in Blocks XV and XVI, Hohoura East Survey District, bounded: Towards the north-east and south-west by the Motutangi Stream; towards the south by Section 27; towards the west by Sections 19 and 18; and towards the north by Sections 28 and 37, all being sections of the aforesaid Block XV, Hohoura East Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 15/77 “B,” deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. THE following special order made by the Manukau County Council on the 28th day of April, 1942, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928:—
SPECIAL ORDER.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 5 (c) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto are noxious weeds within the County of Manukau.
