National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Appointment of Deputy Chairman of an Armed Forces Appeal Board.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, has been pleased to appoint Henry Lovell, of Westport, Solicitor, to be the Deputy Chairman of No. 5A Armed Forces Appeal Board as from the 18th day of May, 1942, to hold and exercise the duties of office during pleasure.

Government Representative on New Zealand Meat-producers’ Board appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 3952.)

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in pursuance or paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 2 of the Meat Export Control Act, 1921–22, to appoint
Alan Grant, Esquire,
to be a representative of the New Zealand Government on the New Zealand Meat-producers’ Board established under the said Act, vice Alexander Scott Holms, Esquire, such appointment to take effect on the 1st day of June, 1942.

Order declaring a Prohibited Place and appointing Authorized Officers under the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.
I, FREDERICK JONES, Minister of Defence, in pursuance of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941, hereby declare the place described in the First Schedule hereto to be a prohibited place, and do hereby appoint the officers of His Majesty’s Air Forces named in the Second Schedule hereto to be authorized officers for the purposes of the said regulations.
Dated at Wellington, this 10th day of June, 1942.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, being parts of Blocks VII and VIII, Opoe Survey District, and Blocks VI and X, Rangaunu Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 3 on plan 1126, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence easterly along the road forming the southern boundary of that lot to the south-eastern corner of Lot 6 on the said plan 1126; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 6 and that boundary produced to high-water mark of the sea; thence northerly generally along high-water mark of the sea to the northernmost corner of Lot 21, O.L.C. No. 6; thence north-westerly along a right line to the easternmost point of Lot 14, containing an area of 112 acres 3 roods 2 perches; thence by high-water mark of the sea to, a point in line with the north-western boundary of the said Lot 14; thence along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 14 and that boundary produced to the western boundary of Lot 2 on plan 1126 deposited as aforesaid; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Lot 2 and the western boundary of Lot 3 on said plan 1126 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 16/2/28c, deposited in the office of the Air Secretary at Wellington, and thereon outlined red.
