Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, for a Public School.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a public school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Plimmerton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 9·03 perches.
Being part Lot 24, D.P. 7046, being also part Taupo No. 1 Block.

Situated in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District. (S.O. 20474.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 107702, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

The New Lynn District Milk Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply and Munitions doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This Notice may be cited as the New Lynn District Milk Delivery Notice 1942.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the seventh day following publication thereof in the Gazette.

  3. The scheme contained in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

SCHEDULE.

THE NEW LYNN DISTRICT MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

  1. For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“Milk” includes cream:

“The district” means the Borough of New Lynn, the Town District of Glen Eden, and that portion of the Waitemata County outlined on the plans of the district deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under Nos. 3343A, 3343B, and 3343C:

“Minister” means the Minister of Supply and Munitions.

“Zone” means a zone of the district marked on the said plan:

  1. This scheme shall not apply with respect to—

(a) Milk or cream intended for manufacture into butter, cheese, casein, or dried milk; or

(b) Dried milk, condensed milk, or condensed cream.

  1. For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members:—

(a) Messrs. G. F. Cressey, Godley Road, New Lynn; F. V. Stewart, Te Atatu, and Mrs. Irene L. Southgate, West Coast Road, Glen Eden; representing the vendors described hereunder:

(b) Four members to be appointed by the New Lynn Borough Council:

(c) Two members to be appointed by the Glen Eden Town Board:

(d) One member to be appointed by the Waitemata County Council:

(e) Mr. A. Blake, of 157 Landscape Road, Mount Eden, as Zoning Officer.

  1. Any member of the committee may at any time resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.

  2. Where any of the members of the committee specified in paragraph (a) of clause (3) of this scheme dies, or resigns his office, the Minister, after consultation with the vendors for the time being parties to this scheme, may appoint another person in his stead.

  3. On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, other than those members specified in paragraph (a) of clause (3) of this scheme, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

  4. The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

  5. Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

  6. The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the zones in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

Taumarunui Milk Delivery Scheme, 1940, amended.

WHEREAS by a notice (hereinafter referred to as “the said notice”) published in the Gazette on the 7th day of November, 1940, the Minister of Supply and Munitions, pursuant to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, approved the Taumarunui Milk Delivery Scheme, 1940 (hereinafter referred to as “the scheme”):

And whereas it is desired to amend the scheme by a readjustment of the authority for certain of the deliveries of milk authorized by the scheme:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Supply and Munitions, pursuant to the said Regulation 3, doth hereby amend the table (contained in clause 3 of the Schedule to the said notice) describing the persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled, by revoking in paragraph 2 thereof the words “Mervyn Dean, of Sunshine Town, Taumarunui,” and substituting therefor the words “Irwin Gilbert Rule, of Rangaroa.”

The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 6.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 6.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely:—

The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply—

(a) To the workers coming within the scope of the Northern Industrial District Electrical Workers’ (Radio Section) award dated the 4th day of April, 1938, and recorded in 38 Book of Awards 758, except those wholly employed on war production; or

(b) To the workers coming within the scope of the awards specified in the following Schedule, namely:—
