The Sharebrokers Act, 1908.—Amendments to Rules of The Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to approve of the following amendments to the rules of The Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand.

THE STOCK EXCHANGE ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND.

Rule 35.—Alter to read :—
A member or a country member and any firm or partnership to which such member or country member belongs shall have one place of business only: Provided always that a member or country member who, prior to the 24th day of November, 1937, regularly carried on, either as an individual or as a member of a firm or partnership, a branch office or offices shall be entitled to continue such branch office or offices if the partner in charge of each branch office is or forthwith becomes a duly elected member or country member of a Metropolitan Exchange.

Rule 79.—Add the following as subsection (a) :—
(a) Prompt or immediate delivery shall mean delivery within twenty-four hours from time of sale.

Rule 80 (N).—Alter in second line the word “ten” to “three.”

Rule 53.—Add new paragraph :—
No member of an Exchange shall do business for or with any member of a Stock Exchange outside New Zealand who either alone or in partnership with any other person or through an agent or employee has or acquires a place of business in New Zealand, or in any way carries on business in New Zealand.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Undertaking (No. 77).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service doth hereby declare the undertaking set forth hereunder to be an essential undertaking for the purposes of those regulations :—
