Result of Election of a Member of the Invercargill Fire Board
by Fire-insurance Companies.

THE following result of the election of a member of the
Invercargill Fire Board has been reported to the
Minister of Internal Affairs, and is notified in accordance with
the rules under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926 :—

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extra-
ordinary Vacancy on the Waipukurau Fire Board.

Wellington, 20th May, 1942.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules
made thereunder, the Minister charged with the
administration of the said Act doth hereby appoint Friday,
the 5th day of June, 1942, to be the date for holding the
election of one member of the Waipukurau Fire Board by the
fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held
to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of
Mr. W. E. Watson.

The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941,
Variation No. 5.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regu-
lations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order
as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legis-
    lation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 5.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed
    part of the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification
    Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal
    Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to
    the workers coming within the scope of the awards specified
    in the following Schedule, namely :—

  1. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date
    hereof.

Order 1941, Variation No. 10.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regu-
lations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order
as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 10.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed
    part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation
    Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the
    principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order shall be and is hereby varied as
    follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to and in exercise
of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by
section 23 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act,
1925, the registration of the Christchurch Gas, Coal, and Coke
Co., Ltd., Industrial Union of Employers, Registered No. 1681,
situated at Christchurch, will, unless cause to the contrary is
shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the
date of this notice.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price
Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations
1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries
and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following
Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 82.

  2. This Order shall apply to the Cities of Nelson, Palmerston
    North, and Wanganui; the Boroughs of Blenheim, Cam-
    bridge, Dannevirke, Eltham, Feilding, Foxton, Gisborne,
    Hamilton, Hastings, Hawera, Inglewood, Levin, Masterton,
    Marton, Morrinsville, Napier, New Plymouth, Paeroa,
    Pahiatua, Patea, Pukekohe, Rotorua, Stratford, Taumarunui,
    Tauranga, Te Awamutu, Te Kuiti, Waihi, Waipukurau,
    Waitara, Whangarei; and the Town Districts of Papatoetoe,
    Te Puke, and Waverley.

  3. The maximum price which may be charged for an
    unconditioned second-hand apple fruit-case of standard
    bushel size shall be not more than as follows :—

When the case has been opened the wide way (where side
cleats are) : 4d. per case.

When the case has been opened the narrow way: 3d.
per case.
