WHARFAGE ON GOODS.

All goods (with the exception of shingle, metal, or lime)
landed on or shipped from any wharf, per ton weight s. d.
or measurement .. .. .. .. 1 0
For all metal, shingle, or lime landed on or shipped from
any wharf or loading-stage by any person, firm,
company, or local authority, for loading only, per
ton or cubic yard .. .. .. .. 0 6
Minimum charge .. .. .. .. 0 2

All goods not removed from the wharves or sheds within
seven days will be charged 6d. per ton per week or part of a
week.

STORAGE.

Every person, firm, company, or corporate body whose
goods are stored in any shed or bin upon any wharf, after the
expiry of seven days, shall pay, before receipt of such goods
(when called on by the Council or wharfinger so to do),
storage for such goods as hereinafter mentioned, that is to
say:—

For each and every day or part of a day— s. d.
For metal or shingle (per cubic yard) .. .. 1 0
For all other goods (per ton or part of a ton, weight
or measurement) .. .. .. .. 1 0

PASSENGER RATES.

For each passenger landed on or shipped from the s. d.
Matakana Sandspit Wharf .. .. .. 0 3

PENALTIES.

If any person, firm, or company—
(1) Permits any offensive matter to be placed on or about
any wharf premises; or
(2) Deposits the remains and/or the offal of fish about any
wharf premises; or
(3) Uses any wharf premises or sheds for private purposes
or for any purpose for which such wharf or shed was
not intended, shall be liable to a fine not exceeding
£20.

All landing-dues shall be paid quarterly, on returns to be
furnished to the Clerk of the said Council, or other person
appointed by the said Council, by the receiver of the goods,
or on returns from the books of the master or owner of the
vessel which carried them.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day
of April, 1942.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section one hundred and sixty-seven of
the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary an Order in
Council made on the seventh day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-seven, and published in the Gazette on
the twentieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-seven, at page 1162, and affecting Kinohaku West
E 1B 2 and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land
described in the Schedule hereto.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day
of May, 1942.

Present:

THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
order and declare that opossums may be taken or killed
within the acclimatization district specified in the Schedule
hereto, except in any sanctuary other than a scenic reserve,
subject in all cases to the general regulations made by Order
in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-four, and to the special conditions
specified in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

GREY DISTRICT ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 750.)

  1. Season: Noon on 1st June to noon on 1st September,
    1942 (inclusive).
  2. License fee: £2.
  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Chief
    Postmaster, Greymouth; Postmasters, Blackball, Brunner-
    ton, Moana, Nelson Creek, Nga here, Runanga, Stillwater,
    and Totara Flat.

BULLER ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 749.)

  1. Season: Noon on 1st July to noon on 15th September,
    1942 (inclusive).
  2. License fee: £2.
  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Chief
    Postmaster, Westport; Postmaster, Ikamatua.

HAWERA ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 750.)

  1. Season: Noon on 1st June to noon on 1st September,
    1942 (inclusive).
  2. License fee: £2.
  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Post-
    masters, Patea, Hawera, Normanby, and Eltham.

HAWKE’S BAY ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 750.)

  1. Season: Noon on 1st July to noon on 1st September,
    1942 (inclusive).
  2. License fee: £2.
  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Chief
    Postmaster, Napier; Postmasters, Dannevirke, Tikokino,
    and Puketitiri.

LAKES DISTRICT ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
