John William Carlisle

to be the Deputy of the Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the District of Kaponga.

Declaring a Place to be a Prohibited Place under the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.

PURSUANT to the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941, the Minister of Defence doth hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule hereto to be a prohibited place for the purpose of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.


SCHEDULE.

AREA AT GODLEY HEAD.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being Rural Sections 559, 3955, 4712, 36825, 36826, 36827, parts Rural Sections 55, 204, 1034, 3987, 21418, 33903, part Reserve 289, road-lines and Crown land situated in the Boroughs of Sumner and Lyttelton, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the southern side of the Lyttelton-Sumner Road, the said point being the westernmost corner of Rural Section 4712; thence north-easterly generally along the said southern side of the Lyttelton-Sumner Road to its junction with Wakefield Avenue; thence continuing north-easterly generally along the south side of Ocean View Terrace and Heberden Avenue to Lot 35 (D.P. 3352); thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that lot to its southernmost corner; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lots 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 (D.P. 3352), and Lots 125 and 126 (D.P. 4261), to the westernmost corner of Lot 124 (D.P. 4261); thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned lot to the Taylor’s Mistake Road; thence easterly by a right line across that road to the westernmost corner of Lot 23 (D.P. 8072); thence south-easterly along the eastern side of the Taylor’s Mistake Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 24 (D.P. 8072); thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lots 24, 12, 59, 11, and 10 (D.P. 8072), and its production in a north-easterly direction to low-water mark, South Pacific Ocean; thence southerly generally by the said low-water mark to the western boundary of the Godley Head Reserve, described as a prohibited place by a notice published in New Zealand Gazette No. 86, dated 30th October, 1941, page 3326; thence southerly by that boundary to low-water mark, Lyttelton Harbour; thence westerly generally by the said low-water mark to the north-east boundary of the Battery Point Defence Area, described as a prohibited place in the above-mentioned Gazette; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Rural Section 4712, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Army P.P. 58, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 8.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 8.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely:—

The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of the awards and industrial agreements to which the New Zealand Tramways Authorities’ Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers is a party.

  1. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.

Dated at Wellington, this 30th day of April, 1942.

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 9.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 9.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order shall be and is hereby varied as follows, namely:—

The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply—

(a) To the workers coming within the scope of the Northern Industrial District Electrical Workers’ (Radio Section) award dated the 4th day of April, 1938, and recorded in 38 Book of Awards 758, except those wholly employed on war production; or

(b) To the workers coming within the scope of the awards specified in the following Schedule, namely:—

The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 3.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 3.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely:—

The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of—

(a) Any of the awards and industrial agreements to which the New Zealand Tramways Authorities’ Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers is a party; or

(b) The New Zealand Typographers’ award dated the 4th day of May, 1938, and recorded in 38 Book of Awards 1025; or

(c) The New Zealand Printers’ Machinists’, Lithographers’, Bookbinders’, &c., award dated the 31st day of March, 1938, and recorded in 38 Book of Awards 628.

  1. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.
