NELSON CITY COUNCL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE WAKAPUAKA SURVEY DISTRICT FOR EXTENSION OF A CEMETERY.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, the Cemeteries Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, to execute a certain public work—namely, the extension of the Wakapuaka Cemetery—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Trafalgar Street, Nelson, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Trafalgar Street, Nelson.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of parcels of land required to be taken :-

8 acres l rood 12 perches; coloured on plan blue. 28 perches; coloured on plan blue. 1 rood 8 perches; coloured on plan yellow. 6 acres 2 roods 23 perches; coloured on plan red.

All the said lands being parts of Section 1, District of Suburban North, situated in Block IX, Wakapuaka Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on Thursday, 2nd April, 1942, due notice of which was given, the following special resolution was carried unanimously :-

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that ALFRED CHARLES MARTIN, Public Accountant, Timaru, be appointed liquidator."

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of EMPIRE FRUIT SERVICE, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 16th day of April, 1942, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £1,000 to £500, and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statement, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Auckland on the 23rd day of April, 1942: And notice is further given that the said minute is in the words and figures following :-

"The capital of Empire Fruit Service, Limited, and reduced henceforth, is reduced from the former capital of £1,000 divided into 1,000 shares of £1 each to £500 divided into 1,000 shares of 10s. each. At the time of the registration of the minute all shares in the company are fully subscribed according to law in the case of a private company and are fully paid up."

NOTICE is hereby given by the Public Trustee that a scheme under the above Act has been referred to the Supreme Court at Wellington for consideration in respect of the legacy of £200 bequeathed by the late Mary Ellen Macarthy Reid to the late Reverend Canon Fielden Taylor to be applied by him to whatever charitable purpose in the City of Wellington he might think fit. The scheme proposes that the legacy, less costs and expenses, be paid to the Wellington City Mission.
