In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the
matter of JAMES HODGSON AND SONS, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand, Northern District (Auckland
Registry), dated the 25th day of March, 1942, confirming
the reduction of the capital of the above-named company
from £30,000 to £12,000 by returning to the shareholders
paid-up capital to the extent of 12s. per share, and the minute
(approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital
of the company as altered the particulars required by the
above statute, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of
Companies at Auckland on the 27th day of March, 1942:
And further take notice that the minute above mentioned is
in the words and figures following:—

“The capital of James Hodgson and Sons, Limited, is
£12,000 divided into 30,000 shares of 8s. each. At the date
of the registration of this minute all the shares have been
issued and have been and are to be deemed to be fully paid
up.”

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 21st day of March,
1942, the above-named company passed the following
special resolution:—

“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“2. That CECIL HENRY BATTLEY, Public Accountant, be
and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

TAURANGA GAS COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the Tauranga
Gas Company, Limited, will be held at Bank Chambers,
Tauranga, on the 21st day of April, 1942, at which a resolution
for voluntary winding up is to be proposed; and that a
meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held,
pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at Bank
Chambers on Tuesday, 21st day of April, 1942, at 8 o'clock in
the evening, at which meeting a full statement of the position
of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors
and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before
the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance
of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be
the liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236
of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

LAKE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

In the matter of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
in the matter of a special loan of £1,000 authorized to be
raised by the CHAIRMAN, COUNCILLORS, AND INHABITANTS
OF THE COUNTY OF LAKE for rural housing.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in and
conferred upon it in that behalf by the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1926, the Lake County Council hereby this 24th
day of March, 1942, resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds
(£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Lake County Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making an
advance to a farmer for the erection of a dwelling under the
Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Lake County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a
penny (1/0d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable
property in the County of Lake calculated on the basis of the
capital value thereof; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of March and September
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or
until the loan is fully paid off.”

Carried; and we hereby certify that the foregoing is a true
copy of such resolution as appearing in the minute-book of the
Council of the County of Lake.

NOTICE is hereby given that by special resolution dated
the 16th day of March, 1942, the above company has

the Companies Act, 1933, at the Dominion Farmers' Institute
Building (Room 14, 1st Floor), Featherston Street, Wellington,
on Friday, the 10th day of April, 1942, at 11.30 a.m.

(1) To receive the statement of accounts and report of
the liquidator to the 16th day of November, 1941.
(2) To fill one vacancy in the committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders of
the said company will be held pursuant to section 240
of the Companies Act, 1933, on Friday, the 10th day of
April, 1942, at 3 p.m., at the Dominion Farmers' Institute
Building, 110 Featherston Street, Wellington, for the purpose
of receiving the statement of accounts and report of the
liquidator to the 16th November, 1941.
