to be Commissioner of Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks, under section 113 (1) of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–22, and Registrar of Copyright in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright Act, 1913, on and from the 27th day of February, 1942.
Henry Moulds Barrett
to be Clerk of the Magistrates’ Court at Te Kuiti for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, Clerk of the Licensing Committee for the District of Waitomo for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, and Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Te Kuiti for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 3rd day of March, 1942.

to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Weber for the purposes of the Marriage Act, 1908, and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Weber for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, on and from the 6th day of February, 1942.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 56).
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service doth hereby declare the undertakings set forth hereunder to be essential undertakings for the purposes of those regulations :—
His Majesty’s New Zealand Dockyard, at Auckland.
The Naval Armament Depot, at Kauri Point, Auckland.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 57).
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service doth hereby declare all building and construction works being carried out for any of His Majesty’s Military, Naval, or Air Forces, or for civil defence, to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.
