$(b)$, $(c)$, or $(d)$ of clause 4 of this notice shall sell
or offer for sale or contract to sell or otherwise dispose
of any used fruit-case to any person who is not the
occupier of an orchard registered under the Orchard
Registration Regulations 1937, and no person who is
the occupier of any such orchard shall use any used
fruit-case acquired by him pursuant to the provisions
of this notice for any purpose other than the repacking
of apples or pears.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Town Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 4th March, 1942.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
are open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to
ll o'clock a.m. on Friday, 24th April, 1942.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland,
on Wednesday, 29th April, 1942, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but
if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by
any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown
Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent,
lease fee, and in the case of Lot 4 of Allotment 3 the amount
of weighting for improvements.

to treat or remove termite-infested timbers to the satisfaction
of the State Advances Corporation immediately on

Settlement Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Land Act, 1924;
and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Wellington, up to noon on Monday, 23rd
March, 1942.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday,
25th March, 1942, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants
are required to produce documentary evidence of their
financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of
the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant
is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent,
lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.-FIRST-CLASS SETTLEMENT
LAND.

Kairanga County.-Westella Settlement.-Block II, Kairanga
Survey District.

SECTION 7 : Area, 74 acres 1 rood 31 perches. Capital
value, £2,205 ; half-yearly rent, £55 2s. 6d.

Weighted with £1,146 for improvements, comprising small
cottage, 78 chains boundary fencing, 112 chains internal
fencing, 74 acres felling, 74 acres grassing, clearing, and
stumping, cow-byrre, shed, yards, well, plantation, and drain.
This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit
of £46, the balance may be paid over a period of thirty-six
and a half years by half-yearly instalments of £32 12s. 8d.

This is first-class dairying land (when drained), situated on
Cameron's Line about three miles from Feilding Post-office,
two miles and a half from Taonui School, and two miles from
Aorangi Railway-station. The Awahuri Dairy Factory is
about five miles distant and the Feilding Saleyards three
miles. Access is by good metalled road from Feilding. The
section is all flat, subdivided into nine paddocks. There is
a shallow bore for water-supply, but a new pump, tanks, and
piping are required. The pasture is medium quality only,
but could be revived by draining and by regular top-dressing.
At the present time property becomes very wet in winter.

STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE.

Milling-timber for Sale by Public Tender.

State Forest Service,
Hokitika, 26th February, 1942.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the
purchase of the undermentioned milling-timber will
close at the office of the State Forest Service, Hokitika, at
4 p.m. on Monday, 16th March, 1942.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND CONSERVANCY.-WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL the milling-timber on those pieces of land containing
together 139 acres, situated in Blocks VI, VII, and X, Hohonu
Survey District, P.S.F. No. 31, approximately thirteen miles
from Camerons Railway-station. The total estimated
quantity of timber in cubic feet is 285,800, or in board feet
1,831,000, made up as follows:-

Upset price: £1,760.
Time for removal: Three years.

Terms of Payment.

A marked cheque for a deposit of £320, together with
£1 ls. license fee, must accompany the tender, and the balance
to be paid in twelve equal monthly instalments, the first
of which shall be made one month after the date of the sale.

Terms and Conditions.

  1. All instalment-payments shall be secured by “on
    demand” promissory notes made and endorsed to the satisfaction
    of the Commissioner of State Forests, and interest
    at the rate of 1 per cent. per annum in excess of current
    bank overdraft rates will be charged on all notes overdue
    from the date of maturity to the date of payment.

  2. The right to cut and remove the timber will be sold in
    accordance with the provisions of the Forests Act, 1921-22,
    the regulations in force thereunder, and these conditions.
