At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of February, 1942.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

James Quigley,
William Thompson Dalzell,
Frederick David Shaw Dalzell,
William Bamford,
John William Wright,
Harry Gray, and
Alan Victor Dalzell

to be the Hurunui Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Hawarden Hall, Hawarden, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—HURUNUI DOMAIN.

RESERVE 2598, Block IV, Waipara Survey District, and Block IV, Waikari Survey District: Area, 84 acres 3 roods 36 perches.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of February, 1942.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for travelling-stock purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Buller County containing by admeasurement 40 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, and being part Section 4, Block IX, Brighton Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 9/1420, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon in outline bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for police-station purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

Changing the Purpose of Part of a Reserve in the City of Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of March, 1942.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a public library and literary institute: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for municipal purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a public library and literary institute to a reserve for municipal purposes.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement two perches and sixty-five one-hundredths of a perch (2·65 perches), more or less, being part of Reserve 13, Town of Wellington, bounded: Towards the south-east by other part of the said Reserve 13 comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 423, folio 118, Wellington Registry, 45·72 links; towards the north-west by part of Section 919, Town of Wellington, as delineated on Deposited Plan 11042, 47·01 links, and Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 9370, being part of Section 918, Town of Wellington, 29·91 links; towards the north-east by other part of the said Reserve 13, distance 4·88 links bearing 100° 32′; and again towards the north-east by Riddiford Street, 62·96 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 13/151A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange. WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart as a site for a public library and Town Board offices:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for buildings of the General Government.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve as a site for public library and Town Board offices to a reserve for buildings of the General Government.
