Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in Block I, Hawera Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto (which was taken for a further portion of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, Normanby Section, which is no longer required for such purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 4 acres 2 roods 14·01 perches.

Being portion of Railway land.

Situated in Block I, Hawera Survey District. (S.O. 7815.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 104382, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of February, 1942.

Stopping Government Road in Block III, Belmont Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of February, 1942.

Declaring Land acquired for a Government Work, and not required for that Purpose, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land declared to be Crown land:—

40 1 34 Part Railway land, being Sections 1 to 6 and 15 to 20, Block XIV, and Sections 1 to 5 and 14 to 18, Block XV, and part Reserve No. 10 and parts Greenock, Dumbarton, and Helensburgh Streets, Town of Balclutha; coloured purple.

2 1 16 Part Railway land, being parts Sections 7 and 14, Block XIV, and part Sections 6 and 13, Block XV, and part Reserve No. 4 and parts Greenock, Dumbarton, and Helensburgh Streets, Town of Balclutha; coloured yellow.

Crown Land set apart for the Development of Water Power (Cottage-site) in Block II, Town of Edendale.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the development of water power; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 3 roods 39·84 perches.

Being part Section 11.

Situated in Block II, Town of Edendale (Southland R.D.). (S.O. 116/253.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103380, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of February, 1942.

Alteration of Boundaries, Christchurch Drainage District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be added to and form part of the Christchurch Drainage District; and, with the like powers and authorities, do hereby also declare that the said area shall be added to the Rural Riccarton Subdistrict of the said district as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.
