Milk Delivery Scheme Approval




Pursuant to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply, being satisfied that all the vendors of milk (otherwise than by sale over the counter) in the district specified in the scheme referred to in the Schedule hereto are parties to the scheme or have been given an opportunity of becoming parties thereto, doth hereby approve the said scheme, and doth hereby revoke the Hamilton Delivery Scheme, 1941, approved by him on the 29th day of September, 1941.

SCHEDULE.

Hamilton Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942.

  1. For the purposes of the scheme—
    “The commodity” means milk, and includes cream:
    “The district” means the Borough of Hamilton, together with adjoining areas as delineated by the demarcation of zones on the plan:
    “The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 3276.

  2. The scheme shall come into operation on the day following the date of the publication in the Gazette of notice of the approval of the scheme by the Minister of Supply.

  3. The persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled are as follows:

1. A. L. Cooper, Bankwood Road, Hamilton In the zone numbered 1 on the plan; and also Jackson’s shop, Claudelands, in the zone numbered 7; and also wholesale supplies of bottled milk to Subway Fruit-shop, River Road, and Martin’s shop, Grey Street, in the zone numbered 7.
2. H. Cummings, 16 Claude Street, Claudelands In the zones numbered 2, 3, and 3A on the plan.
3. R. W. Green, 17 Seddon Street, Hamilton In the zone numbered 4 on the plan.
4. J. Williams, Enderley Avenue, Claudelands In the zone numbered 5 on the plan; and also wholesale supplies to Cassell Hospital, Von Tempskey Street, in the zone numbered 7.
5. J. Bowler, Plunket Terrace, Hamilton East In the zone numbered 6 on the plan; and also wholesale supplies to Thorpe’s Coffee Bar, Victoria Street, in the zone numbered 21, and to Bella Vista Boardinghouse in the zone numbered 14.
6. Newstead Pure Milk Co., Hamilton In the zone numbered 7 on the plan; and also Pott’s shop, Galloway Street, in the zone numbered 9; Olliver’s shop, Grey Street, in the zone numbered 4; Perry’s shop, Grey Street, in the zone numbered 10; Gordon’s shop, Parke Street, Cliffe’s shop, Pembroke Street, Elmsley’s shop, Hood Street, Walker’s, Ward Street, Molloy’s, Ward Street, Technical School, Tristram Street, Cook’s, Victoria Street, and Butler’s, Victoria Street, in the zone numbered 14; Cook’s, Victoria Street, in the zone numbered 21; and the Railway Tea-rooms in the zone numbered 15.
7. E. Robinson, Knighton Road, Hamilton East In the zone numbered 8 on the plan, and also wholesale supplies of milk to Royal Hotel and Waikato Hotel in Grey Street, in the zone numbered 7; and the Commercial Hotel and Blue Band Pie-shop, Victoria Street, in the zone numbered 14.
8. Davis Bros., Dey Street, Hamilton In the zone numbered 9 on the plan.
9. J. L. Cole, 56 Firth Street, Hamilton East In the zone numbered 10 on the plan.
10. R. E. Lord, care of A. Wilson, Silverdale In the zone numbered 11 on the plan.
11. L. O. Blackmore, Rototuna In the zone numbered 12 on the plan.

21A. John Thompson, Rototuna In the zone numbered 21A on the plan together with Renown Tea-rooms, Daintie Tea-rooms, Kia Ora Tea-rooms, Duck Inn Milk Bar, and Plaza Tea-rooms in the zone numbered 14.
