Land temporarily reserved, in the Westland Land District for
the Purpose of a Rifle Range.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section
of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may from time to time set apart temporarily as
reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held
under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion
are required for any of the purposes in the said section
mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by

the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the
Westland Land District, described in the Schedule here-
under written, for the purpose of a rifle range.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods
8 7 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1818 (formerly closed
road), situated in Block XIV, Kaniere Survey District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 3rd day of February, 1942.

Excess Profits Committee appointed.

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint—

William Rankin Birnie, of Palmerston North, Percival Ernest Pattrick, of Wellington, and Hubert Maxwell Christie, of Wellington,

to be the members of the Excess Profits Committee for the purposes of the Excess Profits Tax Act, 1940, and also to appoint the said William Rankin Birnie to be the Chairman of the said Committee.
