Notice of Intention to take Leasehold Estates or Interests in Land for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks IV and VIII, Russell Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the leasehold estates or interests in the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, held from His Majesty the King by John Nelson Elliott under and by virtue of lease No. 15284 as to the land described in such First Schedule and by Charles Gilbert Pyle under and by virtue of lease No. 15578 as to the land firstly described in such Second Schedule and under and by virtue of lease No. 15584 as to the land secondly described in such Second Schedule, such leases being registered in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which such leasehold estates or interests are required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Russell and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said leasehold estates or interests in the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such leasehold estates or interests, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Sale of Unclaimed Property.

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, the 21st February, 1942, be sold thereafter by public auction.

Notice calling up Reservists for Service Overseas with the Armed Forces.

Wellington, 5th February, 1942.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have this day issued to—

Geoffrey Ivan Preece, Lorry-driver, Wainuku, Registration No. 622325,
Thomas Henry Wise, Commission-agent, Bagley Street, Mount Roskill, Auckland, Registration No. 615753,
Ruben Glanville Roberts, Labourer, 8 Crosby Terrace, Wellington, Registration No. 621830,
Colin Charles Carruthers, Motor Mechanic, 210 High Street, Carterton, Registration No. 616748, and
Roy Albert Fletcher, Painter, 30 Hunter Street, Hawera, Registration No. 457047,

notices calling them for service overseas with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.
