purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, and
Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Opunake
for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act,
1926, on and from the 22nd day of December, 1941.
Arthur Frederic Owen Clarke
to be Registrar of Electors and Returning Officer for the
Electoral District of Egmont for the purposes of the Electoral
Act, 1927, and its amendments, and Returning Officer for
the Egmont Licensing District for the purposes of the
Licensing Act, 1908, and its amendments, Clerk of the
Licensing Committee for the District of Egmont for the
purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, Clerk of the Magistrates’
Court at Eltham for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts
Act, 1928, and Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’
Court at Eltham for the purposes of the Destitute Persons
Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 16th day of December,
1941.
Constable John McAlpine
to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Bulls
for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, and
Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Bulls for
the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926,
on and from the 23rd day of January, 1942.

Revocation of Appointment of certain Garage-proprietors for
issue of Warrants of Fitness.
IN terms of Regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations 1936,
and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I,
Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke the
approval of the person and firm described in the Schedule
hereto for the purposes of the issue of warrants of fitness for
motor-vehicles.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940—Declaration
of Essential Undertaking (No. 23).
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regula-
tion 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of National Service doth declare the
undertaking of New Zealand Woolpacks, Limited, at Foxton,
to be an essential undertaking for the purposes of those
regulations.
