Westport Abattoir District extended.—(Notice No. Ag. 3986.)

Wellington, 8th December, 1942.
PURSUANT to section 15 (7) of the Meat Act, 1939, notice is hereby given that—
(1) By deed of agreement dated the 25th day of November, 1942, made between the Corporation of the Borough of Westport and the Corporation of the County of Buller the abattoir established for the Borough of Westport has on and from the 1st day of January, 1943, been made available for that part of the County of Buller described in the Schedule hereto;
(2) The Westport Abattoir District, as affected by the said agreement, shall comprise all that area described in the said Schedule; and
(3) The Council of the Borough of Westport shall be the controlling authority of the abattoir for the purposes of the said abattoir district described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF THE WESTPORT ABATTOIR DISTRICT.
ALL that area for the time being comprised in the Borough of Westport and also all that area situate in the County of Buller, and bounded as follows: Commencing on the south bank of the Mokihinui River at its entrance to the sea; thence easterly along the south bank of the Mokihinui River to the eastern boundary of the Westport Harbour Endowment; thence south-west along the boundary of the Westport Harbour Endowment to Buckland Peaks; thence south along the summit of the Paparoa Range to the source of the Four Mile or Teropahi River; thence west along the north bank of the said river to its junction with the sea; and thence north and north-east along the sea-coast to the point of commencement.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 125).
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the operations of all workers coming within the scope of the North Auckland District (except Auckland Twenty-one-mile Radius) Butchers’ award, the Auckland (Twenty-one-mile Radius) Butchers’ award, the South Auckland District (except Auckland Twenty-one-mile Radius and Gisborne Judicial District) Butchers’ award, the Gisborne Judicial District Butchers’ award, the Wellington, Taranaki, Nelson, Marlborough, Westland, and Canterbury Industrial Districts Butchers’ awards, and the Otago and Southland Provincial Districts Butchers’ awards, to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.
