EVIDENCE having been lodged of the destruction of the outstanding duplicate of Mortgage No. 186200, in the name of DAVID CONNOR, of Gonville, Retired Master Mariner, and ANNIE ITA CONNOR, his wife, affecting 21·7 perches, more or less, being part of Section 10 of the right bank of the Wanganui River, and being Lot 41 on Deposited Plan No. 2045, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 210, folio 133, and application having been made to me to register a transmission of the said Mortgage No. 186200 to David Connor, as survivor, and to register a discharge of the said mortgage, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to dispense with production of the said outstanding duplicate under section 40 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, and to register such transmission and discharge of mortgage as requested after fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the members of the Waimate Plains (North Island) Dairy Co., Ltd., will be held at No. 139 Featherston Street, Wellington, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 17th December, 1942, when an account of the winding-up of the company and the disposal of its property will be reported upon, and an extraordinary resolution will be submitted authorizing the liquidator at the expiration of a period of twelve months to destroy the books and papers of the company.

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION.

In the matter of the Local Authorities' Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Dunedin City Loans Conversion Order, 1934.

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Dunedin City Loans Conversion Order, 1934, and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Dunedin City Council at a meeting on the 31st day of August, 1942, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of the debenture maturing on the 1st day of April, 1943, viz.—Debenture No. 7657 of the City of Dunedin Conversion Loan, 1934; and public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Dunedin City Council's intention to redeem such debenture of the said loan on the 1st day of April, 1943, and interest thereon will cease on the said day.

THE CLUTHA FINANCE COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 25th day of November, 1942, the following special resolution was duly passed :—

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Waikato Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 17th day of November, 1942, at 9 a.m., with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. H. W. Windsor, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

Mr. H. W. Windsor, the Chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. K. G. Paterson seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof. The following are the regulations referred to :—

WAIKATO TROTTING CLUB.

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Waikato Trotting Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Waikato Racing Club’s Racecourse situated in the district of Hamilton and known as the Te Rapa Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  3. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :—

(a) Bookmakers :
(b) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and book-makers’ agents :
(c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association :
