  CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
  Education Reserve in North Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
  North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
  Auckland, 1st December, 1942.
  NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 12th January, 1943, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.
  SCHEDULE.
  NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
  Auckland City.—Titirangi Parish.
  ALLOTMENTS 150 and 151 : Area, 10 acres. Upset annual rent, £10.
  The sections are situated in Blockhouse Bay Road, Avondale, and would be suitable for market-gardening. The land is ring-fenced with poor fencing and heavily infested with gorse, with the exception of ½ acre, which is fenced off from the balance.
  On account of the noxious weeds at present growing on the land, the Land Board is prepared to grant remission of the first three years’ rent provided improvements are effected to a value of double the rent remitted.
  Form of lease may be perused and any further particulars required obtained at the office of the undersigned.

  Land in the Canterbury Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
  District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, 30th November, 1942.
  NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 8th January, 1943.
  Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 12th January, 1943, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their financial position.
  The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
