The Timaru Bread Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Timaru Bread Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

THE TIMARU BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“Bread” includes small-goods :
“Shop” includes any public institution :
“Small-goods” includes scones, buns, and bread-rolls :
“The district” means the area of the Borough of Timaru :
“Minister” means the Minister of Transport :
“Wholesale purchaser” means either—

(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six 2 lb. loaves of bread per week or their equivalent in weight; or
(b) A hospital or shop :

“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3365.

(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows :—

Timaru Bread Delivery Committee—

(a) Two members to be appointed by the Timaru Borough Council ;
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme ;
(c) The Zoning Officer for the South Island.

(3) (a) The members to be appointed to the committee by the Timaru Borough Council and the parties to this scheme under clause (2) shall be appointed as soon as may be after the coming into force of this scheme.
(b) Any committee member appointed by the said Council or parties to this scheme, as the case may be, may in like manner be removed from office.

(4) Any committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.

(5) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(6) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme in its area, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(7) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(8) It shall be a condition of this scheme that bread shall be delivered within the district to the premises of the wholesale purchasers only.

(9) It shall be a condition of this scheme that a party to the scheme shall deliver bread only to the wholesale purchasers allotted to him as provided in clause (10) of this scheme, and that in respect of wholesale purchasers indicated by circles of the smallest size on the plan a party to this scheme shall deliver only small-goods to those purchasers.

(10) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the wholesale purchasers to whom they may deliver bread are as follows :—

W. G. Hawkey, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured red and orange on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
J. S. Herron, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured red on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
Houston Bros., Bakers, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured yellow and black on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
A. W. May, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured purple on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
W. Page, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured orange and black on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
S. Shears, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured blue on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
F. M. Shewan, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured green on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.
J. K. Wilson, Baker, Timaru .. The shops described generally by circles coloured green and yellow on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the shops attached to the plan.

The Nelson Meat Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Nelson Meat Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the first day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

THE NELSON MEAT DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“The district” means the City of Nelson, the Town District of Tahunanui, and that portion of the Waimea County as indicated in the description of areas in the Schedule hereto :
“Milk scheme” means the Nelson Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, published in the Gazette on the 1st day of October, 1942, at page 2436 :
“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purpose of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3363 :
“Minister” means the Minister of Transport :
“Wholesale purchaser” means a person who purchases not less than 8 lb. of meat at a time for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, boardinghouse, hospital, or similar institution :
“Zone” means a zone of the district marked on the plan.
