Dec. 3.]\nTHE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.\n2839\nThe Kaiapoi Commodities Delivery Notice 1942.\nPursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—\n1. This notice may be cited as the Kaiapoi Commodities Delivery Notice 1942.\n2. This notice shall come into force on the fourteenth day following the publication thereof in the Gazette.\n3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.\nSCHEDULE.\nTHE KAIAPOI COMMODITIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.\n1. For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—\n“Commodities” means bread, meat, and milk :\n“The district” means the Borough of Kaiapoi :\n“Minister” means the Minister of Transport :\n“Wholesale purchaser” means a person who purchases meat or bread for resale or for transport to an area outside the district\nor for consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies of meat or bread daily.\n2. For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members :—\n(a) Two members to be appointed by the Kaiapoi Borough Council ;\n(b) One member to be appointed by the vendors of milk, one member to be appointed by the vendors of meat, and one person\nto be appointed by the vendors of bread, being the parties to this scheme, with the intent that each of the respective\nmembers shall act on the committee only while matters are being dealt with relating to that commodity sold by the\nvendors making his appointment ;\n(c) The Zoning Officer for South Island.\n3. On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the\nmanner in which the vacating member was appointed.\n4. The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise\nthe Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and\nto make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.\n5. Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.\n6. The following conditions shall apply to this scheme :—\n(a) That within one mile of the Chief Post-office at Kaiapoi bread or meat shall be delivered to the premises of wholesale\npurchasers only ;\n(b) That the vendors of milk who are parties to this scheme may deliver milk within the Borough of Kaiapoi in the areas allotted\nto them by the next succeeding clause.\n7. The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver the respective commodities are\nas follows :—\nName.\nArea.\nMilk-vendors—\nTrevor Batie\nSneyd, Otaki, Akaroa, Peraki, Broom, Hugh, Willock, and Fuller Streets, Ohoka Road, Main\nSouth Road, Carew Street, and Hilton Street.\nGriffins Victoria Dairy\nCam Road, Sidey Quay, Charles, Sewell, Cass, and Jones Streets, Meadow Road, Davie Street,\nand Kairaki Beach.\nJames Tozer\nHigh, Raven, Black, Rich, and Cookson Streets, Main North Road (north), Coups Terrace,\nSims Road, Dale Street, Ranfurly Street, Walker Street, Cridland Street, Smith Street,\nand Neaves Road.\nButchers—\nE. SEMPLe, Minister of Transport.\nThe Manawatu Rural Bread Delivery Notice 1942.\nPursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—\n1. This notice may be cited as the Manawatu Rural Bread Delivery Notice 1942.\n2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.\nSCHEDULE.\nTHE MANAWATU RURAL BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.\n(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—\n“The district” means the area of portions of Kairanga, Oroua, Manawatu, Pohangina, and Kiwitea Counties as indicated by the\ndescription of the areas set out in clause (13) hereof :\n“Minister” means the Minister of Transport :\n“Week” means a week commencing on Monday :\n“Wholesale purchaser” means either—\n(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six 2 lb. loaves per week or their equivalent in weight ; or\n(b) A hospital.\n(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows :—\nManawatu Bread Delivery Committee—\n(a) Two members to be appointed by the Minister from nominations submitted to the Minister by the Kairanga County\nCouncil, Oroua County Council, Manawatu County Council, Pohangina County Council, and Kiwitea County Council,\nas representatives of those local authorities, such nominations to be submitted in accordance with the provisions of\nclause (3) of this scheme :\n(b) One member to be appointed by the Manawatu, Southern Hawke’s Bay, and Wairarapa Master Bakers’ Association :\n(c) The Zoning Officer for the North Island.\n(3) For the purposes of clause (2) of this scheme each of the Councils specified therein shall, by resolution, as soon as may be after the\ncoming into force of this scheme, nominate one person for membership of the committee, and shall submit the nomination to the Minister.\n(4) (a) The member to be appointed to the committee by the Manawatu, Southern Hawke’s Bay, and Wairarapa Master Bakers’\nAssociation under clause (2) of this scheme shall be appointed by resolution of the Association as soon as may be after the coming into\nforce of this scheme.\n(b) Any committee member appointed by the said Association may in like manner be removed from office.\n(5) Where any member appointed by the Minister to the committee under clause (2) of this scheme is also a member of any one of the\nCouncils specified in the said clause (2) and that member vacates his seat as a member of that Council, the vacating member shall be deemed\nto have vacated his office as a member of the committee.\n(6) Any committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
