Ethiopia (Termination of Jurisdiction) Order, 1942.

THE following Order made by His Majesty in Council on 30th
April, 1942, is published for general information.

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 30th day of April, 1942.
Present:
THE KING'S MOST EXCELLENT MAJESTY IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS His Majesty The King has agreed to the termination of
the jurisdiction which by treaty, grant, usage, sufferance or other
lawful means, His Majesty had in Ethiopia:
And whereas provision is at present made for such jurisdiction by
the Ethiopia Order in Council, 1934(a), and as regards appeals by the
Eastern African Court of Appeal (Amendment) Order in Council,
1934(b):
And whereas it is therefore expedient to abrogate the said
Ethiopia Order in Council and the said Eastern African Court of
Appeal Order in Council, 1934:
And whereas the Governments of Canada, the Commonwealth
of Australia, New Zealand, the Union of South Africa and of India
have requested and consented to the making of this Order as regards
those interests with which they are respectively concerned:
Now, therefore, His Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the
powers in this behalf by the Foreign Jurisdiction Acts, 1890 and
1913(c), or otherwise in His Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with
the advice of His Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as
follows:-

The Ethiopia Order in Council, 1934, and all Rules and
Regulations made thereunder, the Eastern African Court of Appeal
(Amendment) Order in Council, 1934, and the application to Ethiopia
of the Foreign Jurisdiction (Military Forces) Order in Council,
1927(d), and of the Foreign Jurisdiction (Probates) Order in Council,
1935(e), are hereby abrogated. -
This Order may be cited as the Ethiopia (Termination of
Jurisdiction) Order, 1942(f).
And the Right Honourable Anthony Eden and the Right
Honourable Viscount Cranborne, two of His Majesty's Secretaries
of State, are to give the necessary directions herein.

The Oxford Commodities Delivery Notice 1942.
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency
Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby
give notice as follows:-
-
This notice may be cited as the Oxford Commodities Delivery
Notice 1942. -
This notice shall come into force on the Monday following
the date of publication thereof in the Gazette. -
The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided
for the said district.
SCHEDULE.
THE OXFORD COMMODITIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise
requires,-
"The district" means that portion of the Township of Oxford
in the Oxford County, bounded by a line commencing at
Waimakariri Bridge; thence along Depot Road to Main
Race Road Corner; thence westward along Main Race
Road and Rockford Road to Harman's Gorge Road
Corner; thence southerly along Harman's Gorge Road
to the Waimakariri Bridge, in each case inclusive of the
said roads;
"Commodities" means bread, meat, and groceries:
"Minister" means the Minister of Transport.
(2) Commodities shall not be delivered to householders in the
district on more than one day in any week commencing on a Sunday,
save that bread may be delivered on behalf of P. F. Masters by
G. Mitchell, G. L. Fairweather, and the N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative
Association, Ltd., in the course of their grocery deliveries.
(3) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme
are as follows:-
P. F. Masters, Baker, Oxford.
C. E. Brown, Butcher, Oxford.
G. Mitchell, Grocer, Oxford.
G. L. Fairweather, Grocer, Oxford.
N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., Grocers, Oxford.

PURSUANT to the Transport Control Emergency Regulations
1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby amend as
follows the Schedule to the Warrant, constituting Goods Transport
Control Districts and Taxi-cab Control Districts and appointing
Committees therefor, dated the 2nd day of September, 1942, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 10th day of September,
1942, at page 2173:-
(1) Christchurch Goods Transport Control Committee.-By
adding to the Christchurch Goods Transport Control Committeethe following additional member under paragraph (a):-
A. D. Ford, Public Accountant, Christchurch.
(2) Kaikoura Goods Transport Control Committee.-By revoking
in the Kaikoura Goods Transport Control Committee the appointments under paragraph (b) of E. W. Hanrahan and J. McWhinney,
and by substituting therefor the following appointments:-
