Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions in respect of applications for licenses were made on the 17th November, 1941.

Fish Canning.

John Kaaland, Ltd., Auckland.. | For variation in a condition of the company’s existing license (which provided that the licensee company shall establish the location of the new cannery no further north than Whangaroa Harbour and no further south than the Bay of Islands) so as to permit the establishment of such a cannery at Tauranga | Declined.

Fish Retailing.

T. C. Lee, Dunedin .. | To retail wet and cooked fish from premises situated in Tomahawk Road, Anderson’s Bay, Dunedin | Granted.

Industrial Fishing.

A. Amor, 8 Rophia Street, Fitzroy | For a license to take fish for sale by means of the vessel “Forest Gold,” using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at New Plymouth | Granted.

Petrol Reselling.

Thames Fisheries, Ltd., P.O. Box 27, Thames | To resell motor-spirit from one pump installed at the company’s premises, Queen Street, Thames | Granted, on condition that petrol be sold only to suppliers of fish to the company for use only in their launches.

Macaroni, Manufacture of.

S. Blumenthal, 25 Ngaiwi Street, Orakei, Auckland | For a license to manufacture macaroni .. .. .. | Declined.

Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.

Mining Registrar’s Office, Hokitika, 24th November, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, as amended by section 18 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1937, that, unless sufficient cause to the contrary be shown within one month from the date hereof, the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the register.

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, as amended by section 18 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1937, that unless cause to the contrary be shown within one month from the date hereof the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register.
