Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations.

Agreement for Grant of Right-of-way in favour of the Proprietors of the Whakapaupakihi No. 4 Block, over Land in Motu Survey District taken for the Purposes of an Aerodrome, assented to.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 19th day of April, 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25 of the 20th day of the same month, all those pieces of land containing 50 acres 1 rood 15 perches and 1 acre 2 roods 0·1 perches, being portions of Whakapaupakihi No. 4 Block, Block II, Motu Survey District, were taken for the purposes of an aerodrome :

And whereas the proprietors of the Whakapaupakihi No. 4 Block were entitled to compensation for their freehold interests in the said areas of 50 acres 1 rood 15 perches and 1 acre 2 roods 0·1 perches :

And whereas the Minister of Public Works agreed to grant to the said proprietors of the Whakapaupakihi No. 4 Block a right-of-way over an area of approximately 16·35 perches of the aforesaid area of 50 acres 1 rood 15 perches as part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid, and to provide a sum of money in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation :

And whereas the said proprietors of the Whakapaupakihi No. 4 Block agreed to accept such grant and sum of money in satisfaction of the said compensation :

Now, therefore, I, Hubert Thomas Armstrong, Minister of Public Works, do hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that I assent to the above agreement.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VII, Matakaoa Survey District, for Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Hicks Bay and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mount Albert and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
