Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations, 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to James Henry Hughes, of Whakatane.

Constituting Emergency Motor-vehicle Districts in Terms of the Motor-vehicles Impressment Emergency Regulations 1941.

——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by Regulation 3 of the Motor-vehicles Impressment Emergency Regulations 1941, the Minister of Transport doth hereby divide New Zealand into the Emergency Motor-vehicle Districts described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF DISTRICTS.

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 1: Manganui, Whangaroa, Bay of Islands, and Hokianga Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Kaikohe).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 2: Whangarei, Hobson, Otamatea, Rodney, and Great Barrier Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Whangarei).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 3: Waitemata, Eden, and Manakau Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Auckland).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 4: Franklin County, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Pukekohe).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 5: Coromandel, Thames, Hauraki Plains, Ohinemuri, and Piako Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Paeroa).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 6: Raglan, Waikato, Waipa, and Matamata Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Hamilton).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 7: Kawhia, Otorohanga, and Waitomo Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Te Kuiti).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 8: Tauranga, Rotorua, Whakatane, Opotiki, and Taupo Counties, excepting that part of Taupo County lying to the south and west of the Tauranga and Ngaruroro Rivers and a line joining their respective headwaters, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Rotorua).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 9: Ohura, Taumarunui, and Kaitieke Counties, and that part of Taupo County lying to the south and west of the Tauranga and Ngaruroro Rivers and a line joining their respective headwaters, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Taumarunui).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 10: Clifton, Whangamomona, Taranaki, Inglewood, and Stratford Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, New Plymouth).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 11: Egmont, Waimate West, Eltham, Hawera, and Patea Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Hawera).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 12: Matakaoa, Waiapu, Uawa, Cook, and Waikohu Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Gisborne).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 13: Wairoa and Hawke’s Bay Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Napier).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 14: Waipawa, Waipukurau, Patangata, Dannevirke, Woodville, and Weber Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Dannevirke).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 15: Waitotara, Waimarino, and Wanganui Counties, and that part of Rangitikei County lying to the south and west of a right line commencing at the Rangitikei River Bridge on the Feilding–Huntersville Main Highway, proceeding in a north-westerly direction to the Pukeroa Telephone Office, and thence in the same line to the western boundary of Rangitikei County, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Wanganui).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 16: That part of Rangitikei County lying to the north and east of a right line commencing at the Rangitikei River Bridge on the Feilding–Huntersville Main Highway, proceeding in a north-westerly direction to the Pukeroa Telephone Office, and thence in the same line to the western boundary of Rangitikei County, and the Kiwitea, Pohangina, Oroua, Manawatu, Kairanga, and Horowhenua Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Palmerston North).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 17: Pahiatua, Akitio, Eketahuna, Castlepoint, Mauriceville, Masterton, Wairarapa South, and Featherston Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Masterton).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 18: Hutt and Makara Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Wellington).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 19: Collingwood, Takaka, Waimea, and Murchison Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Nelson).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 20: Sounds, Marlborough, Awatere, and Kaikoura Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Blenheim).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 21: Buller County, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Westport).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 22: Inangahua, Grey, and Westland Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Greymouth).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 23: Amuri, Cheviot, and Waipara Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Waikari).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 24: Kowai, Ashley, Rangiora, Eyre, and Oxford Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Rangiora).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 25: Tawera, Malvern, Selwyn, and Ellesmere Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Darfield).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 26: Waimairi, Paparua, Heathcote, Halswell, Mount Herbert, Akaroa, Wairewa, and Springs Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Christchurch).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 27: Ashburton County, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Ashburton).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 28: Geraldine, Levels, Mackenzie, and Waimate Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Timaru).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 29: Waitaki and Waihemo Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Oamaru).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 30: Waikouaiti, Peninsula, and Taieri Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Dunedin).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 31: Lake, Vincent, and Maniototo Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Alexandra).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 32: Tuapeka, Bruce, and Clutha Counties, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Balclutha).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 33: That part of Southland County lying to the north of a line commencing at the Hillpoint Stream on the western boundary of Southland County, and proceeding thence to Benmore Railway-station; thence to Glencoe Telephone Office; thence to Kamahi Post-office; thence to Glenham Post-office; thence to Mokoreta Post-office; and thence by a line due east to the eastern boundary of Southland County, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Gore).

Emergency Motor-vehicle District No. 34: Fiord, Wallace, and Stewart Island Counties, and that part of Southland County lying to the south of a line commencing at the Hillpoint Stream on the western boundary of Southland County, and proceeding thence to Benmore Railway-station; thence to Glencoe Telephone Office; thence to Kamahi Post-office; thence to Glenham Post-office; thence to Mokoreta Post-office; and thence by a line due east to the eastern boundary of Southland County, together with all boroughs and town districts situated within the said area (Centre, Invercargill).
