N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Lieutenant-Colonel F. C. Soar, E.D., N.Z. Artillery, to be Lieutenant-Colonel, with pay and allowances of a Major, and is appointed Camp Commandant, Mobilization Camp, Ngaruawahia, vice Major S. T. Seddon, M.C., N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 20th October, 1941.
Major G. H. Gray, M.C., V.D., ceases to be seconded to the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, dated 15th September, 1941, is reported to the N.Z. Temporary Staff, and is appointed Officer Commanding, No. 2 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Burnham, dated 16th September, 1941.
Major G. H. Gray, M.C., V.D., relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding, No. 2 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Burnham, and is appointed second in command, No. 4 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Trentham. Dated 9th October, 1941.
Major R. P. Harper, D.S.O., M.C., D.C.M., relinquishes his appointment in the N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 8th October, 1941.
Major T. G. Hislop relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Training) (Territorial Force), Army Headquarters, and is appointed General Staff Officer, 2nd Grade (Staff Duties), Army Headquarters, with pay and allowances of a Major. Dated 27th October, 1941.
Captain W. B. Munday relinquishes the appointment of Signals Officer, Training Cadre, Mobilization Camp, Burnham, and is appointed General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Signals), Southern Military District. Dated 29th September, 1941.
Captain E. J. Browning, District Supply Officer, Northern Military District, is granted the temporary rank of Major while so employed. Dated 1st November, 1941.
Captain C. A. Blazey, District Supply and Transport Officer, Central Military District, is granted the temporary rank of Major while so employed. Dated 1st November, 1941.
Lieutenant J. Cruse, Mechanical Transport Technical Officer, Waiouru Military Camp, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 30th October, 1941.
Lieutenant E. B. Edwards, M.C., Chief Signals Instructor, Mobilization Camp, Trentham, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 31st October, 1941.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 83, dated 23rd October, 1941, relative to the appointment of Percy Keesing, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted:—
“Percy Keesing to be Lieutenant (temp), and is posted to Headquarters, Central Military District, Wellington, for ‘A’ duties. Dated 1st October, 1941.”
James Pirie Thomson, D.C.M., to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is attached to the Defence Services Provision Office, Wellington. Dated 1st October, 1941.
Lieutenant G. R. Jackson, Reserve of Officers, The Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Assistant Area Officer, No. 7 Area, Masterton. Dated 30th October, 1941.
Douglas Farquhar Brown, A.I.A.A. (Lond.), to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Assistant District Engineer Works Officer, Central Military District. Dated 30th October, 1941.
Lieutenant and Quartermaster G. H. Broom, M.P.S., Ph.C., 1st Field Ambulance, to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Officer in Charge, Advance Medical Depot, Northern Military District. Dated 3rd November, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant P. Barcham is attached to the staff of the Chief Signals Officer, Army Headquarters, Wellington, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant while so employed. Dated 3rd October, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant L. A. J. Emery, M.C., Platoon Commander, Guards, Vital Points, Central Military District, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 20th October, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant R. N. Kelly, Camouflage Unit, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 24th October, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant A. T. Bustard, General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Intelligence), Central Military District, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 3rd November, 1941.
Clarence Mason Cole to be 2nd Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant and Quartermaster, 1st Field Ambulance. Dated 3rd November, 1941.
COMMANDS.

Captain R. P. Harper, D.S.O., M.C., D.C.M., Reserve of Officers, relinquishes his appointment in the N.Z. Temporary Staff, dated 8th October, 1941, is transferred to the Active List, and is granted the temporary rank of Major with seniority from 8th April, 1941. Dated 9th October, 1941.
THE AUCKLAND (EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant (temp.) H. P. Brasting is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st November, 1941.
THE NORTH AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant (temp.) A. J. Mackintosh is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st October, 1941.
N.Z. ARTILLERY.

2nd Lieutenant C. F. Hart, 2nd Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 25th August, 1941.
N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82, dated 16th October, 1941, relative to Captain E. H. L. Bernau, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted:—
“Captain E. H. L. Bernau, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Captain (temp.), and is posted to the 5th Reserve Mechanical Transport Company. Dated 1st April, 1941.”
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 83, dated 23rd October, 1941, relative to Captain E. H. L. Bernau, for “Dated 4th October, 1941,” substitute “Dated 1st September, 1941.”
