Land taken for Electrical Works in the Borough of New Plymouth and Block X, Paritutu Survey District, Taranaki County:

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for electrical works and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one.

Declaring Lands in Canterbury Land District to be subject to the Provisions of Section 23 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands of the Crown to be subject to the provisions of that section to enable certain readjustments of leases and licenses to be carried into effect:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be subject to the provisions of the said section:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by subsection one of the aforesaid section twenty-three, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare, that from and after the date of gazetting hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.β€”NELSON CONSERVANCY.

All those areas in the Marlborough Land District, Marlborough County, containing by admeasurement 633 acres 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, and described as follows:β€”

All that area containing 581 acres 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 5 and 45, Block XIV, and other Crown land in Blocks XIV and XV, Wakamarina Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by another part of the said Section 5 (S.O. plan 3718), and by Sections 36, 35, 34, 33, Block XIV, and Section 8, Block XV aforesaid; towards the east by a permanent State forest (Gazette 1887, p. 439); towards the south by Mountain Camp Creek for a distance of approximately 1400 links and by a river-bank reserve 200 links wide along the northern bank of that creek; towards the west and south-west by part of Section 4, Block XIV aforesaid; and towards the north-west by Section 14, Block XIV aforesaid.

Also all that area containing 52 acres, more or less, situated in Block XIV aforesaid, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Mountain Camp Creek, 500 links; towards the east and south-east by the aforesaid State forest, 3260 links and 7400 links respectively; towards the north-west by part of Section 45 aforesaid, 7935 links; and towards the west by the said part of Section 45 and a public road, 1700 links and 210 links respectively.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 104/31, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. plans 1190, 1262, 1419.)
