NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR.
Light Beacon established.—Buoy withdrawn.
(1) Light Beacon established.
Position : 261° 445 ft. from the centre of the end of
Birkdale Wharf.
Details : A single pile beacon with red triangular surmount
exhibiting a fixed white light from sunset to l a.m.
Anchorage is prohibited within a distance of 200 ft. on
each side of a submarine power cable laid between the beacon
and the end of Birkdale Wharf.
(2) Buoy withdrawn.
Position : Close southward of (l) above.
Details : The buoy with black and white horizontal stripes
has been withdrawn and is to be expunged.

Signal Station to be closed.
Position : 069° 4·l cables (approx.) from the fixed red
light at the head of Officer Point Breakwater.
Details : The Time Ball Signal Station will be closed as
from lst November, 1941, and all berthing signals will be
given from the Signal Station at Toloa (Adderley) Head.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 29th October, 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
are open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland,
up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 8th December, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland;
on Wednesday, 10th December, 1941, at 10 o'clock a.m., but
if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by
any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown
Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent,
and lease fee.

Handy to Orewa Ocean Beach being on Waiwera Road
and just off Main Highway near Domain; three miles from
Silverdale and about twenty-two miles from Birkenhead
Vehicular Ferry. Access by formed sandy road, a quarter
of a mile from tar sealed highway. All sections are nearly
level and comprise good building-sites.

the undersigned.
