notices calling them up for service overseas with the armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have this day issued to—
Leslie Erle Baylis, Painter, 18 Devonshire Road, Miramar, Wellington, Registration No. 615869,
a notice calling him up for service with the Territorial Force, such person having been convicted for that, being a reservist belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

Election of Member of Nelson Land Board.

I, PERCY RUSSELL WILKINSON, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Nelson Land Board, do hereby notify, in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, that the only person nominated to fill the vacancy occurring on the said Board was
John O’Regan, of Cronadun.
I do therefore hereby declare the said John O’Regan to be duly elected a member of the Nelson Land Board for a term of two years from the 18th day of December, 1941.
