Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and published in Gazette of the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, the Lyttelton-Heathcote Domain Board was constituted and appointed to control the Lyttelton-Heathcote Domain, in pursuance of section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas it is desired to change the name of the said Lyttelton-Heathcote Domain to Heathcote Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date hereof, be known as the Heathcote Domain; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, hereinbefore referred to, and doth hereby appoint

Francis Ellis,
Wilfred Theophilus Wilson,
Albert Bloxham,

to be the Heathcote Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

The first meeting of the said Board shall be held on Monday, the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at eight o’clock p.m., at the Heathcote Bowling Club Pavilion.

HEATHCOTE DOMAIN.—CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 34·2 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 3839, Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north generally by Lot 11, Deposit Plan 9873, 480·8 links, 588·55 links, and 347·25 links; towards the east by Lot 1, Deposit Plan 4499, 1726·74 links; towards the south by Lot 1, Deposit Plan 10878, 987·8 links; and towards the west by Port Hills Road, 1299·75 links: save and except the intersecting Bridle Path Road. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/437A, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for municipal purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for municipal purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.
