IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and of The Lyall Bay Bowling and Tennis Club, Limited (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of members of the above company will be held at the Lyall Bay Bowling Club’s Pavilion, Apu Cerseent, Lyall Bay, on Wednesday, the 12th day of November, 1941, at 8 p.m., when the liquidator will, in accordance with section 232 of the said Act, lay before the meeting an account of the winding up and give any explanation thereof, and at the same meeting the following resolution will be proposed as an extraordinary resolution :-
“That the books and papers of the said company and of the liquidator be disposed of by delivering the same to the Lyall Bay Bowling Club (Incorporated), which society shall thereafter be entitled to the custody thereof.”

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.
KNOW all men that I, LOUIS HAMMOND, of Auckland Retired Civil Servant, now lately called LOUIS CHRISTIAN EVELIN HAMANN, by deed-poll, bearing date the 23rd day of September, 1941, registered in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland, under M. No. 242/41, have for myself and my wife absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of my former surname of Hamann and my former Christian names of Louis Christian Evelin and in lieu thereof I have assumed and adopted the surname Hammond and the Christian name of Louis, and I hereby declare that I shall at all times henceforth in all actions and proceedings, dealings, and transactions, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said surname Hammond in lieu of my former surname Hamann and the Christian name Louis in lieu of my former Christian names of Louis Christian Evelin.

I, NORMAN ROBERTSON SMILLIE, of Wellington, Civil Servant, formerly known as NORMAN ROBERTSON SMELLIE, hereby give notice that having been granted exemption under the Change of Name Emergency Regulations 1939, I have absolutely renounced and abandoned my surname of Smellie and in lieu thereof have assumed and adopted the surname of Smillie, and I further give notice that by deed-poll, being dated the 7th day of October, 1941, enrolled at the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, Wellington Registry, on the 10th day of October, 1941, I formally and absolutely renounced the said surname of Smellie and declared that I had adopted and intended thenceforth to use and be known by the name of Smillie in lieu thereof.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.
GRAVEL-PIT AT GROVE BUSH.
Notice of Intention to take Land.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a public work—namely, the construction of a gravel-pit for the quarrying of gravel for roadmaking—and for this purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken and set apart, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and set apart is deposited at the office of the Southland County Council in Clyde Street, Invercargill, and is there open for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking and setting apart of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands must state their objection in writing, and send the same within forty days of the date of this notice (being the day of the first publication thereof) to the Southland County Council at its aforesaid office in Clyde Street, Invercargill.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situated in the County of Southland and in Invercargill Hundred, containing 9 acres 2 roods and 16 poles, more or less, being those parts of Sections 8 and 9, Block 12, of the said Hundred shown on the above-mentioned plan and therein coloured orange.
