Taking of Fish for Sale.

AN application has been received from A. Amor, 8 Rophia Street, Fitzroy, for a license to take fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Forest Gold,” using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at New Plymouth.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 6th November, 1941.

Fish Canning.

AN application has been received from John Kaaland, Ltd., Auckland, for a variation in a condition of its existing license (which provides that the licensee company shall establish a fish-canning factory no farther north than Whangaroa Harbour and no farther south than the Bay of Islands) so as to permit the establishment of such a cannery at Tauranga.
