THE PAPAKURA CO-OPERATIVE RURAL INTER-
MEDIATE CREDIT ASSOCIATION, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the general meeting of the
shareholders of the above Association, called pursuant
to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, for Tuesday, 7th
October, 1941, and as notified on page 2640 of Gazette No. 70
of 21st August, 1941, has been postponed, and will now be
held in the Methodist Committee Room, Premier Buildings,
Papakura, at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, 17th October, 1941.
Business.—To receive statement of liquidation accounts.

HENDERSON TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Henderson Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund,
and other charges on the special loan of two thousand two
hundred and fifty pounds (£2,250), authorized to be raised by
the Henderson Town Board pursuant to the terms of Warrants
issued under section 135 of the Public Works Act, 1928,
and of the Order in Council dated the 23rd day of July, 1941,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 24th day of
July, 1941, at page 2184, for the purpose of meeting its share
of the cost of constructing a bridge and approaches thereto
over the Oratia Stream at the junction of View and Millbrook
Roads, Henderson, the Henderson Town Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of nine-sixteenths of one penny
(⁹⁄₁₆d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all
rateable property in the Henderson Town District ; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

stituted special meeting of the said Board held on the 9th
day of August, 1941, and confirmed on the 6th day of

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company, duly convened
and held on the 17th day of September, 1941, the following
resolution was duly passed :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
Mr. WALTER EDWIN BATE, of Hastings, Solicitor, be and he
is hereby appointed liquidator.”

APPLICATION FOR A WATER-RACE.
In the Warden’s Court held at Alexandra.
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 177 of
the Mining Act, application has been made to the
Warden at Alexandra by H.M. the King for a water-race to
divert three heads for mining and irrigation purposes com-
mencing at Bread and Water or Dovedale Creek in Run
261N, Poolburn District, and running north-westerly for
5 chains through the said run: And such application will be
heard in the Warden’s Court at Alexandra on Wednesday,
8th October, 1941, at 10 a.m.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and
notified to applicant at least three days before the time so
appointed.

IN LIQUIDATION.
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933,
notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and
held on the 19th day of September, 1941, the following special
resolution was duly passed :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
At the same meeting WILLIAM GEORGE CHANDLER, GEORGE
COLEMAN HUNTER, and ROBERT YELLOWLEES, all of Reefton,
were duly appointed liquidators for the purpose of the above
winding up.
This company is being wound up under section 221 of the
Companies Act, 1933, as a solvent company.
The liquidators of the company do hereby fix the 11th day
of October, 1941, as the day on or before which the creditors
of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to
establish any title they may have to priority under section 258
of the Companies Act, 1933, or to be excluded from the
benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved
or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and
Amendment Act, 1924, the Public Works Act, 1928,
and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their
respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-named
Acts, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it
in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for
street purposes at Sutherland Road in the City of Wellington—
and for the purposes of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is
hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the
said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city,
and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons
during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or the taking of
such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
