I T is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have this day issued to—

Charles Anton McLachlan, Stable Hand, 8 Michelson Street, Ellerslie, Auckland, Registration No. 614748,

Trevor Rhodes Williams, Hotel-manager, Royal Hotel, Auckland, Registration No. 613590,

Keith Andrew Scobbie, Fisherman, Mataura Bay, care of Box 13, Waihi, Registration No. 457240,

Horatio Harford William Nelson, Music-teacher, care of Mr. C. Cox, 45 Overtoun Terrace, Wellington, Registration No. 458047, and

Louden James Wilson, Miner, York Street, Ohai, Registration No. 458466,

notices calling them up for service overseas with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

I, CHARLES EDWARD ROBERTS, Returning Officer for the purpose of the Fireblight Committee Elections under the Fireblight Committee Regulations 1928, do hereby declare that the following candidates have been duly nominated for the election of members of the Fireblight Committee of the Waimea Commercial Fruitgrowing District, nominations for which closed at Wellington at noon on the 16th day of September, 1941 :-

Chisnall, Harry William.
Clark, Frederick Edward.
Dicker, John.
Haining, David.
Maisey, Arthur Charles.

As the number of candidates nominated does not exceed the number of members to be elected (5), I hereby declare the said Harry William Chisnall, Frederick Edward Clark, John Dicker, David Haining, and Arthur Charles Maisey to be duly elected.
