Notice of Intention to take Land in Block LXXII, Hokonui Survey District, for the Purposes of Linen-flax Development (Gore Factory).

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of linen-flax development: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Gore and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
3 roods 37·6 perches.
Being part Section 136.

Situated in Block LXXII, Hokonui Survey District (Southland R.D.). (S.O. 5571.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 111937, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block LXXII, Hokonui Survey District, for Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Gore and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
2 acres 2 roods 10·6 perches.
Being part Section 136.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Paparoa and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
21·3 perches.
Being part of south-west portion of Allotment 49, Parish of Paparoa.

Situated in Block XI, Matakoe Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30951.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 107899, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from Rubber Distributors, Ltd., 39 Dixon Street, Wellington, for a license to commence the manufacture of gumboots by the latex dipping method.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 18th September, 1941.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirits.

AN application has been received from Thames Fisheries, Ltd, Thames, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirits from a portable pump installed at premises situated in Queen Street, Thames.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 25th September, 1941.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 47.
  2. The maximum price at which women’s shoes marketed under the trade-mark “Casuals,” and manufactured by New Zealand Slippers, Limited, of Lower Hutt, Wellington, and more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, may be sold by way of retail at any place in New Zealand shall be not more than the respective price set out in the said Schedule opposite each such description.
