of the persons engaged as principals in the industry, or have been approved by persons employing a majority of the workers engaged in the industry.

And it is further notified that the Minister will forthwith after the 27th day of September, 1941, refer to the Bureau for consideration any recommendations or objections relating to this provisional plan that may be received by him pursuant to the said Act, and all such recommendations or objections should accordingly be delivered to the Minister not later than the last-mentioned date.

SCHEDULE.

PROPOSED SPECIAL REGULATIONS.

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Industrial Efficiency (Radio) Regulations 1941.

  2. These regulations shall be deemed to be special regulations within the meaning of the Licensed Industries General Regulations 1940 (hereinafter called “the general regulations”), which shall apply as hereby modified in relation to the industry referred to the next succeeding regulation.

  3. These regulations shall apply in relation to the industry referred to in the Industry Licensing (Radio-manufacture) Notice 1939, and therein described as follows:—

“The manufacture for sale of radio receiving sets as herein defined.”

  1. Paragraph (r) of Regulation 3 : 2 of the general regulations is modified in its application to the said industry by adding thereto the following words: “in so far as licensees desire to participate, in whole or in part, in such services.”

  2. The Bureau shall refer to the Committee for consideration, and report as provided by paragraph (a) of Regulation 3 : 2 of the General Regulations, every application by any person for or relating to a license, including an application relating to conditions to which a license is or is proposed to be made subject, and every proposal by the Bureau materially to vary the terms or conditions of a license:

Provided that no determination of the Bureau shall be invalidated or affected by non-compliance with this regulation.

  1. The Committee shall consist of such number of persons as the Minister from time to time thinks fit to appoint, not being more than nine or less than five in number.

  2. Subject to Regulation 9 hereof the Minister shall before making any appointment of a person to be a member of the Committee give public notice in the Gazette notifying his intention to make such appointment, and calling upon licensees to submit to him in writing, not later than a date to be specified in the notice and to be at least three weeks after the date of first publication of the notice, the names of persons to be appointed.

  3. Subject to Regulation 9 hereof the Minister shall not make any appointment to the Committee until after the date specified in the notice published pursuant to Regulation 7 hereof, and shall not appoint to be a member of the Committee any person whose name has not been submitted to him pursuant to notice given under Regulation 7 hereof.

  4. Regulations 7 and 8 hereof shall not apply to an appointment at the time of which there are at least five continuing or concurrently appointed members of the Committee who prior to appointment have been nominated pursuant to Regulation 7 hereof.

  5. In making appointments to the Committee the Minister shall, as far as in his opinion practicable, have due regard for geographical representation.

  6. Every appointment to membership of the Committee shall take effect on the day on which notice of the appointment is published in the Gazette, or on any later date specified or referred to in such notice.

  7. Every member of the Committee shall hold office during the Minister’s pleasure, and may at any time be removed from office by the Minister by notice in writing published in the Gazette, and if any appointment be expressed to be for a stated term it shall be understood and taken to be an appointment for a period expiring at the end of that term and shall expire accordingly unless the person appointed be previously at the pleasure of the Minister removed from office.

Kaikohe Delivery Scheme 1941, approved.

Office of the Minister of Supply,
Wellington, 5th September, 1941.

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply, being satisfied that all the vendors of bread, meat, and grocery supplies (otherwise than by sale over the counter) in the district specified in the scheme referred to in the Schedule hereto are parties to the scheme or have been given an opportunity of becoming parties thereto, doth hereby approve the said scheme.

SCHEDULE.

KAIKOHE DELIVERY SCHEME 1941.

  1. For the purposes of the scheme—

“The commodity” means bread, meat, and grocery supplies:

“The district” means portions of Bay of Islands County and Hokianga County as indicated by the delineation of routes on the plan:

“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 3293.

  1. The scheme shall come into operation on the day following the date of the publication in the Gazette of the notice of the approval of the scheme by the Minister of Supply.

  2. The persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled are as follows:—

Name and Address. Extent of Delivery.
(1) R. Watson, Awarua On Mondays to Fridays (inclusive) while schools are open, and otherwise on Tuesdays and Fridays only over the route marked in red on the plan.
(2) W. M. Wilkinson, Kaikohe. On Tuesdays and Fridays only over the route marked in green on the plan.
(3) A. E. Webb, Kaikohe On Tuesdays and Fridays only over the route marked in violet on the plan.
(4) N. Khutz, Kaikohe On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only over the route marked in blue on the plan.
(5) E. Morfette, Kaikohe On Tuesdays and Saturdays only over the route marked in orange on the plan.
(6) E. Bott, Taheke On Thursdays only over the route marked in orange on the plan.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XI, Kawakawa Survey District, for Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kawakawa and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 acre 1 rood 2 perches.

Being part Taumata-Makuku No. 2B Block.

Situated in Block XI, Kawakawa Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30677.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 111533, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
