Special Order made by the Taupiri Drainage and River Board altering the Boundaries of the Subdivisions of the Taupiri Drainage and River District.

THE following special order made by the Taupiri Drainage and River Board is published in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and amendments.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THE Taupiri Drainage and River Board hereby resolves by way of special order to alter the boundaries of the Ten-foot and Komakorau Subdivisions of the Board’s district by excluding the lands described in the Schedule hereto from the Ten-foot Subdivisions and including such lands in the Komakorau Subdivision.


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area being portion of Lot 2 on deposited plan 15306, and the portion of Henry’s Road abutting thereto, situated on the south-western side of a line commencing at the angle in the south-eastern boundary of the said lot, distant approximately 27 chains from the southernmost corner, and running in a north-westerly direction to an angle in Henry’s Road, distant approximately 20 chains from the westernmost corner of the said lot; thence by a right line across that road to (Peg XVI, D.P. 13221) the opposite angle.

TEN-FOOT.

ALL that land bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the Mangawara and Komakorau Streams; thence by the left bank of the Mangawara Stream to the south-western corner of Lot 2 on deposited plan 21387; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 2 to the left bank of the Mangawara Stream; thence by the left bank of that stream and the left bank of the Tauhei Stream to its intersection by the eastern boundary of Subdivision 6 on deposited plan 4258; thence by a right line to the angle in the Tauhei-Taupiri Road at the northern boundary of Lot 2, deposited plan 12246; thence by the Tauhei-Taupiri Road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, deposited plan 5241, and by a right line to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on deposited plan 6566; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of that lot, Lots 3 and 2, deposited plan 5241, Lots 2 and 1, deposited plan 12246, and Allotment 220, deposited plan 7344, to a point distant 60 chains in a north-easterly direction from the southernmost corner of the said Allotment 220; thence by a right line to the Taupiri-Tauhei Road at a point opposite the southernmost corner of Lot 6 on deposited plan 24433; thence by a line across that road and by the south-western boundary of the said Lot 6 to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 6; thence by a right line to the angle in the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, deposited plan 15306, distant approximately 27 chains from the southernmost corner of the said Lot 2; thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction through the said Lot 2 to the angle in Henry’s Road, distant approximately 20 chains from the westernmost corner of the said Lot 2; thence by a line across Henry’s Road to (Peg XVI, D.P. 13221) the opposite angle; thence by that road to the northernmost corner of Lot 14, deposited plan 13221, and by a right line to the intersection of the Taupiri-Orini Road with the north-western boundary of Lot 2 on deposited plan 3684; thence by that road to the Komakorau Stream and by that stream to the point of commencement.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Gisborne, the County of Cook, and the Gisborne Riding of the County of Cook.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Borough of Gisborne are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 18th day of June, 1941, and published in Gazette No. 52 of the 19th day of June, 1941:

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Cook affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Gisborne Riding of the County of Cook affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF GISBORNE.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern side of Cochrane Street with the eastern boundary of the Gisborne Park Racecourse; thence north-easterly along the boundary between the Gisborne Park Racecourse and Elgen Township and the production thereof to the right bank of the Taruheru River; thence in an easterly direction along the right bank of the said Taruheru River to the north-western side of Lytton Road; thence along the production of that side of Lytton Road, across the Taruheru River, to and along the left bank of the said Taruheru River to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 4, Whataupoko No. 3; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of said Allotment 4, Whataupoko No. 3, to and across Te Hapara Road and along the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision 35, Whataupoko No. 3 Block, to the centre of Ormond Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of Ormond Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Whataupoko No. 5 Block; thence north-easterly to and along the eastern boundary of the aforesaid Whataupoko No. 5 to the middle of Howard Street; thence south-easterly along the middle of Howard Street to the middle of Valley Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of the aforesaid Valley Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Subdivision 43, Whataupoko No. 3; thence in a south-easterly direction across the aforesaid Valley Road and along the aforementioned south-western boundary till it intersects the western boundary-line of the Cook Hospital site; thence north-easterly and south-easterly generally along the boundaries of the aforesaid Cook Hospital site to and along the south-western boundary of Subdivision 46, Whataupoko No. 3; thence along the south-western boundary of Lot 38, Whataupoko No. 4, across Massey Road, and along the south-western boundary of Lot 45, Whataupoko No. 4, to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 45; thence north-easterly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 45, 46, 47, and 48, Whataupoko No. 4, to the westernmost corner of Section 6, Block E, of Whataupoko No. 6; thence along the south-western boundaries of Sections 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block E, Whataupoko No. 6 aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of Section 9 aforesaid; thence across Ballance Street to the westernmost corner of Section 13 of the aforesaid Block E, Whataupoko No. 6; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Section 13 and Section 14 of Block E, Whataupoko No. 6, to an angle in Hill Road at its junction with a public road; thence due south across Hill Road to the north-western corner of Lot 2 of Section 53, Block D, Whataupoko No. 6; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1 of Sections 53 and 47, Block D, Whataupoko No. 6, to and across Adams Road to the north-western corner of Lot 9 of Section 47, Block D, Whataupoko No. 6; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 9 and the south-western boundaries of parts of Sections 47 and 48 of Block D, Whataupoko No. 6 aforesaid, and the production thereof to the middle of Richardson Avenue; thence in a north-easterly direction along the middle of Richardson Avenue to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section 49 of Block D, Whataupoko No. 6; thence in a south-easterly direction along the said south-western boundary of Section 49 to Valley Lane; thence by a line along the middle of Valley Lane to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 11, Section 51, Block D, Whataupoko No. 6; thence to and along that boundary to the south-western corner of the said lot; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, Sections 51 and 56 of the said Block D, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 10, Section 56 aforesaid,
